daisy sold 46,000 in 2009. record sales have only gone down since then. do you think they've gotten that much bigger since then that they can almost double in sales even when record sales have gone down quite a bit?

 

Actually the more I think about it the more I have no idea how many albums they will sell. I do think it will be more than 30k, though.

 

I think this is a unique situation. This band has arguably the most rabid fans of any in the genre, and despite not releasing an album in 8 years they are almost certainly a bigger band than they were in 2009. My barometer for this sort of thing is probably way off, but I do think anything is possible. And, if All Time Low, a band significantly smaller than Brand New, hit over 30k, I think at the bare minimum we should be expecting them to move between 50k and 60k records.

But admittedly I'm mostly full of shit, haha.

 

I hope the production is in the vein of the reworked demos.

 

I'll save my bet until I find out who is distributing it/if they teamed up with a label/just their own.

 

Yeah, this is smart. It all depends on how they release it. If today is any indication, it could be a very Brand New rollout to say the least.

 

There really are a lot of unknowns with this. Haha.

Ultimately it doesn't matter, though. I'm sure between physical sales and streaming they'll do well.

To be fair Brand New plays bigger venues and there wasn't that much hype around ATL's album. I still don't think this will sell 50k, though

 

Was surprised they went with Limited Run, I'm not really a fan of that platform. The UI looks like Desktop Linux in 2004.

 

People really should harass Thomas Nassiff more.

 

I've just realised they are playing New York on the day that I'm flying over there for my 30th. I already have tickets for a wilhelm scream the following night though and am only in NY for 4 nights. Can't see my girlfriend agreeing to this too. Even though she likes brand new. Haha. So much to see but little time to do it all. I'll see if I can convince her. Haha
