That is a great tour poster -- sorta Dan McCarthy-ish.

  3. At the show..rain holding off. Woo!!

  4. Show last night was awesome. 100% exact same setlist as Chicago, but whatevs.

I was thinking of a few songs they should introduce (or re-introduce) into the sets with Matt:

Up All Night (why did they stop playing this?)
    After Midnight
    Heart's All Gone
    Stockholm Syndrome
    Here's Your Letter
Every Time I Look For You
    Going Away to College
    Pathetic
    Josie

I think the crowd would warmly welcome ANY of these songs. If they're playing non-singles like Wendy Clear, Reckless Abandon, etc, they may as well try any of the above!

  5. I'm curious why they've stopped playing fan favorite "Carousel" and singles "Josie" and "Stay Together For The Kids." My guess is they had to make room for California songs while still keeping their 90 minute time frame, but it's still kinda weird that they've taken out "Stay Together" especially. That song is way better live than "Down" for example.

I seriously don't get how they can't just add 15 minutes to their set

    Taking out Carousel seriously hurts

  8. My buddy and I brought that up last night, especially Carousel.

    I love Down live, though.

  9. Easy solution: 2 hour sets :)

  10. "Down" has nothing going for it live, in my opinion. Like, there's no energy to it. It's just kinda there. I feel like "I Miss You" holds that space in the setlist perfectly well.

I forget what song, but Mark said on twitter once that Carousel was too similar to another song they play in the set and that's why they took it out

I think Man Overboard. Either one or the other because of bass intros.

  13. That's a wonky excuse considering 50% of Blink songs contain the same chords (not that I'm complaining)

Yeah they should really play longer sets. Even an extra 15 minutes would squeeze in another 4 songs.

This setlist was actually really good with Matt

blink‐182 Setlist at SOMA, San Diego

24 songs with 2 of them being jokes instead of their current 22 with 3 of them being jokes is an added bonus

  16. Even so, I don't think they've even been playing "Man Overboard" on this tour, which is another good example of songs they "should" be playing.

  17. that's a solid setlist, for sure. if they had that setlist on a whole tour, but swap out 3 or 4 of them randomly every couple nights for more singles and/or deep cuts, i'd be perfectly happy with that!

I realized this too, haha. But I'm pretty sure that is what Mark said on Twitter. I know the reasoning was bass intros, and those are the only two that come to mind for songs they have played in recent years.

Wow taking out Carousel sucks. One of my fav songs.

It really is. It's not like it's a bad album with bad songs. The songs a very good. But the fact that it's not the Yellowcard people know and love (catchy pop punk songs with violin), it gets tons of backlash.

Yup, i like it when a band grows and expands their sound. People bitch when bands release the same records over and over but also cry wolf when they do change it up. Gotta imagine it's an impossible situation to be in. AND it's not like the old songs disappeared when this came out, so people can always listen to those when they want pop punk YC.

They played Wendy Clear last night because someone apparently asked Mark to play it on Twitter.
