Mene is fantastic, and Sealed to Me seemed cool but I would reserve judgement for a studio version.

I Am A Nightmare was too indie for me. I like my Brand New more abrasive.

 

You saw the live debut of 1996, so you basically saw the best song out of the "new" material.

Oh we were at the same show! I lost my mind seeing 1996 live, I hoped beyond hope for that and nobody moves and left satisfied

 

I heard those opening notes and quickly racked my brain and realized that this was the live debut and proceeded to freak the heck out.

 

If I don't get a chance to hear 1996 before they hang it up, I'll be pretty disappointed. Would trade the 2x I heard Nightmare for 1996 any day of the week.

The 4x I've seen Mene have all been electric, and the 2x I saw Sealed to Me featured the shouting vocals, which completely elevated the song.

 

How about you trade me one of the times you've seen Brand New to the ZERO times I've seen them!

 

I've seen them three times and each time I've been happier for weeks def recommend seeing them on the next tour

I'm hoping they hit at least 3 dates in Florida that I can catch.

Orlando, 3 hours away.
Miami, 3 hours away.
Tampa, 2 hours away.

Those are my best bets.

 

I totally agree that they should encorporate the demos more into their live set. I've seen re-worked Brothers, which was great, but I'd love Good Man, 1996, and Nobody Moves. I'd lose my mind ha.

 

Can confirm Good Man and Nobody Moves are worth the price of admission.

I've said it in here probably 3x but we're really good at recycling conversations but at this point I'd much prefer them release an album than go on another tour. I've seen them 8x since Daisy was released so I'd love to see a refreshed setlist with new songs from a new album rather than them just play the same sets they've been playing for 8 years (with the exception of adding Mene, Nightmare and a few demos).

 

I think we're getting both.

Haven't seen Mene live yet, even 2 shows after it's release. Bummer. IIAN and Sealed to Me were okay, but shouting the end of Mene with a live crowd seems like it would be so much fun.

 

Speaking of Mene, there is an adorable video of my daughter headbanging to it when she was 8 months old I'll try and post after work tonight.

 

Any time my kids do a cute dance when I'm spinning my records, they stop before I can catch a video of it. I've stopped trying, because I've learned that my fumbling to snap a picture or record it usually results in my missing the moment altogether.

But my girl loves some Brand New.

 

They've played Good Man during full band sets, including in 2007, 2008, and 2014. Jesse's version of it during the fall 2014 tour was especially good. Opened most of the shows with it before going into YWK.

Yup, lost my mind when they played it during the all-request set of their NYE show.

When I went to the New Years Eve show in Atlantic City and they started playing Nobody Moves I screamed "OH MY GOD!" out loud. This is the only time I've ever done something like that at a show, I was embarrassed for myself but I couldn't help it. I held back slight tears as well. I want to tell you all these reactions were a joke and that I did not do this but... I did

 

Not going to that New Year's Eve show is one of the biggest regrets of my entire life.

 

I worked the next morning at 11 AM... it was so crazy but I'll never, ever for a second regret it and I'd 100% do it again and again.
