  3. General question for folks in here; what, if anything, would prompt you to move out of the US?

I could never leave, I'd feel guilty and never feel at home elsewhere

It kinda feels like the whole Mars stuff, I can't just abandon this mess with a clean conscience, plus there's some good stuff

  9. as i understand it they just have involvement with the studio or production company or something, nothing to suggest they had influence on content. not that they need to, superhero movies and war movies can be awful pro-war propaganda on their own, though i don't really know anything about Dunkirk specifically

Back when he won, and even before when my husband and I discussed the what ifs, I said something along the lines of 'oh fuck, what if he wins and takes away the whole term limits for president?!'

You can't actually move somewhere and become a citizen easily, you have to have some rare or highly reputable skill and work for at least 5 or more years. The only way to get it quickly is to be rich, be directly related to someone who was a citizen or marry someone who is. That's it lol surprisingly I think our system was one of the more fair ones, at least at some point.

Hypothetically, you can live there but not be a citizen tho but you have to leave every so often and I don't think many orgs will hire non citizens unless you have a hookup or know someone well. Best chance is applying for a job there with a rare skill no one there has and they eventually hire you.

When is there going to be a three way split between the far right, far left and center? It seems like it's destined to happen.

  20. I think in that scenario, the far right wins

I almost moved to Brazil this summer. It wouldn't take a lot to convince me to leave the US but I mean, I have citizenship in Brazil so it's not like, a huge leap for me. Politics there are about as much of a dumpster fire as they are here, the main difference being Brazil isn't half as relevant on the world stage so it's not as worrying. I only didn't end up moving cause I was worried about getting double-taxed lol. I really would like to live in Germany for a year but that's more complicated. Ideally I want to have lived in a couple countries before I turn 30. Politics doesn't have much to do with it for me I guess.
