Killing Time is definitely their best. I really enjoy about half of each of the others. I get what you mean though.

    No Fun. Not Ever.

I had a friend who was obsessed with them. Could not understand it for the life of me.

Seriously though, I've tried with them a bunch fior the past 10 years or so to like them and I've concluded they just aren't for me. Anthony's voice isn't my cup of tea. Bayside, to me, is just on a cycle of releasing very similar records every few years in a style that does nothing to excite me

Pop punk is inherently a teen/tween genre. Detached from nostalgia every band is bad, only attached to nostalgia is any of it liked by anyone 20+. Older people still into new pop punk bands need to grow up like all the songs they listen to keep saying before they become creepy lifers who only try to appeal to the high school crowd.

They're whatever, have some solid songs with solid melodies but Idk if I enjoy a full release, aside from the acoustic joint. Anything post Shudder all blends together into a bland(er) mess

I think calling any genre inherently for X people, and not for anybody else is a pretty hopeless and boring way to look at music and art.

i can't tell how serious this post is

because like there are plenty of pop punk bands like latterman that can use the sound to create something a little more universal than that

Nah people should be allowed to listen to whatever they please. As long as people aren't supporting bands that are abusive and they're not acting creepy when they go to shows, listen to new pop punk bands until the day you die if you want.

Yea it's fair. I can completely see why people wouldn't like them. I'm not even a massive fan, but I think they're fun and have some great songs. Fun shout along band.

They were ok, I played that album like twice? I played the new Katie Ellen once and it was solid but I'm not like super into it.

I have no nostalgia for them and couldn't name a song off hand tho

Pop punk bands grow up to play the kind of music older pop punk kids get into, or fade away trying to recreate the sound of their faded youth over and over again

    No Fun. Not Ever.

The only pop-punk song I was able to actually get into recently was a Wonder Years song and that was only because he was singing about being 26 and feeling like he wasted his life. So I could actually relate to it.

Relevant to high school kids? To the warped tour crowd? Or are they playing a more mature sound for an older audience that used to like pop punk years ago, proving my point?

I'm seriously asking I've only heard like one rvrvr or whatever song

why can't older people make faster music with hooks with a punk mentality and have it be what they actually want to do? and have it be relevant for themselves and the world?
