....aaaaaand I think it's time for me to unfollow. Some serious unchecked cissexism/transphobia and yeah it's just kinda gross in here all around.

Oatmeal does kind of suck though, I did want to weigh in on that.

I mean, there's been subtle stuff here and there that shows that people still just don't get how to be inclusive with their language for a while now. But I've accepted that that stuff just happens in mostly cis-dominated spaces, so I tend to just scroll past it. The whole penis=man, vagina=woman thing that happened last page (if you're in 45 posts per page that is) was what ultimately made me decide to leave the thread. Cissexism is a more apt descriptor than transphobia, but people don't seem to understand that terminology (or recognize when it happens) nearly as much. *shrug*
