I type this while looking down at my flabby belly just wishing I could be where I was a year ago. I know this is a long process and I've been down this road before but holy god I am feeling so discouraged. Bleh.

 

I need instant gratification and I'm trying to train myself to see a bigger picture. I am just doing beginner workouts that probably aren't gonna make a difference like outwardly on their own but I'm working my body up to more difficult ones so I'm trying to keep that in perspective. It does feel nice cause I'm not sore anymore (until I up the challenge next week lol) and it feels kinda empowering to be all tired and like nah I'm not gonna do it today, but then power thru and do it anyway. Today I got off work and took a short nap and then went back to the dentist and I was so tired and beat I didn't think I'd do it today, but I did! Or like yesterday I knew I had a work dinner so I worked out beforehand instead of being too tired after I got home. Learning to prioritize and plan ahead is neat lol. And I prepped my work lunch and dinner for the next two days!


But I also have a habit of getting super into things and being like woo this is awesome, I got this! And then I stop. So I need to not do that.

 

Prepping is huge! It keeps you from rifling through the fridge.

 

I enjoy prepping lunches and making my own lil versions of those bistro box things from Starbucks, but I haaaate making dinner. All the food at my house is relatively healthy so I'm fine with snacking and stuff but dinner always gets me. 90% of the time I get fast food it's not even cause it sounds food but cause making dinner sounds too daunting and annoying. I think I'm gonna start eating bigger more filling lunches and then eating something small and easy for dinner, and maybe leaving the cooking to the weeknd lol. I'm just too unmotivated during the week!

I'm very mad that I ordered a bean burrito at Taco Bueno and come to find that it has beef and is cooked in lard

Most refried beans are cooked in lard which I think is silly cause vegetarian refried beans taste the exact same so it doesn't seem super necessary imo. My dad just buys those ones now even tho he's not vegetarian.

I dunno how wide spread they are, but it's the next biggest Mexican fast food chain here

 

the closest taco bueno to me is all the way in Colorado so I guess I'll never go there.

Living in Southern California has spoiled me with Mexican food. I visited my girlfriend's family in Colorado and while I was there we had carne asada fries and they were sooooo flavorless

Where will you be? There is the most amazing Fish Taco truck in San Diego called Kiko's Place. It's unreal how good it is and it's so cheap.

I'm gonna spend a majority of my time in the Coachella valley.

I do plan on spending a day in la though.
