I've noticed I'm a lot more cynical now after losing a child. Like, not in the honest productive way people would think that everyone goes through, but in the sense that I see someone post on Facebook like "All the guys I'm interested in are moving away, BOO HOO" and I just think to myself "Shut the fuck up" even though I shouldn't care

People handle loss in different ways. I think you're perfectly fine. When my fiancee passed away suddenly two years ago, things I thought were important weren't anymore. Your perspective changes on things. My care meter is now turned real low and I turned to tequila and pointless banter with strangers. You're allowed to deal with it in your own way.

I don't watch any professional sports except baseball.

 

I have watched like four games not including playoffs the last two years. It's too painful to watch the Tigers anymore

Hockey is my favorite but now the Red Wings are god awful so that's even more painful

 

The Braves rip my heart out and stomp on it every game. This was supposed to be "our year" and they fuckin suck per usual.
