Yedlin gonna lead a revolution y'all

  3. Can't believe there are so many Spurs fans that actually think we can get Bale.

  4. We probably wouldn't even consider spending half the fee it's gonna cost and that's disregarding wages entirely. His are, what, three times more than Kane's?

Just thinking about seeing him in lilywhite to open up the new stadium awakens many emotions, though.

It's going to be upsetting if (when?) he ever plays for a non-Tottenham PL side

I can't see it. We're short of quality players, especially up top. We badly need to sign another striker, just so we have some backup for when Gayle inevitably turns his hamstrings to jam.

Not so sure about Bournemouth being so high up too. That seems a tall order.

Why do so many on social media consider Bournemouth for relegation battle though? They will not get top 10 but around 12th-14th is more than reasonable for them. Huddersfield, Brighton, Newcastle, Swansea, Burnley and Watford all worse and IMO they've improved their squad with Ake, Begovic and Defoe.

It's going to be an interesting one at the bottom end of the league this year. At this moment, I don't think there are any teams which already look like they're in trouble or are suffering from some sort of chaos (think Hull last year).

What worries me most, is I think Newcastle have a real ability this year to combust. If we get off to a bad start, it's going to get nasty quickly. On top of that, if we still need signings in January and the board don't provide, Rafa will surely go. At which point, we'll crash out of the league at a velocity rarely seen.

Interesting that Stoke seem to be featuring as a team on a downward trajectory. I'd have assumed they'd just be merrily continuing to mid table.

    hmmm

The Benitez factor is fooling pundits into believing them to be better than they are. Mid table is hardly beyond the realms of possibility but they're still missing at least three players. Staying up relatively comfortably would be success for them, I think. Anything else is a bonus.

I can't think of anything more difficult than predicting an entire league table for this season. So many good signings have been made by almost all teams that, on paper, if they all do reasonably well then it's just a guessing game. I agree with you about both Stoke and Newcastle (to an extent); Stoke are a bit worse than the used to be but battling for 11-14th with West Brom, Bournemouth and maybe Palace is what I'd guess at. Newcastle likely in that relegation battle but at worst will finish 18th. Brighton & Huddersfield at 19th & 20th respectively are the only two places I'd predict with any degree of certainty.

  11. Apparently Levy is trying to get Barkley for £25m lol

Half of the original price tag

I can say a lot of things about Spurs, but I really admire Levy.

  13. As frustrating as he can be I do love the man.

Liverpool announced their sleeve sponsor today. They're offering it free of charge to print it onto jerseys. Who in their right mind would actually want another sponsor on a replica lol

    The Sun is so awesome.

And every Spurs fan thinks it's Danny Rose (it's not). Can the window just end now?

EDIT: Apparently it is Rose. If that's true he can fuck off.

Would not be shocked if we tapped him up turned his head

  21. Part of me thinks it's a bullshit story because who would go to the fucking Sun to trash his club? I have a feeling he expressed frustration with the transfer window and the article is sensationalizing it.

Rose has a great relationship with Poch. He was shit before Poch's arrival, now he's a star. It'd be a shame if he acted this way now.

Apparently Rose said he'll play in the north. We must have.

Unless City are really going all out lmao

It was the London Evening Standard apparently.

"I'm not paid what I'm worth. I'll play in the north"

    Crying laughing. What timing.

Sounds like he's off to City.

  25. He wasn't worth what he makes now before Poch got here. And we won 13 out of our final 15 league games while he was injured. He wants us to bring in guys to challenge him but we won with his backup playing.
