I'm torn between wanting Cutler to be brilliant this year because it'd be funny for Bears fans to watch their sorry group of QBs flounder while Cutler shines, but then I also want every QB taken over Kaep to fall apart and blow.

Unfortunately, fairly confident he is still going to be hot garbage.

because I want all the owners who passed on Kaep to have shitty horrible football seasons and lose money and feel bad and shitty. as we've learned this offseason, however shitty the mediocre quarterbacks are, they'll be fine and find roster spots next year. as long as they don't stand up for black lives.

I just don't get it, the ravens are already going to be bad and will definitely lose sales. Their excuse is very minimal and irrelevant compared to some teams.

Also I'm surprised cutler got 10m, I get that it's for 1yr but it's kind of a lot for him.

I fully agree minus Pete Carroll. I 100 percent understand why he couldn't sign Kaepernick.

No. Jesus beat the Steelers in the playoffs. The Holy Spirit just used his body to spread a message.

I just hate the double standards about Kaepernick. Kaep's Super Bowl run gets explained away by having great talent around him yet we don't talk about how fucking good Cutler had it in Chicago at times and still got nothing. Dude's played in two playoff games and one of which he wasn't even the best Chicago Bears quarterback.

Yeah Cutler has had good defense, o line, AND receivers at the same time before. He would have done more with that roster if he had the potential to do what Carson Palmer did.

Also cutlers backup looked good against the packers in that playoff game and is now out of the league lol

It's the same thing that happened to Tebow. He was blacklisted because he drew too much attention off the field and coaches don't want that, no matter what the reasoning is. Should Kaep get another shot? Sure. Am I going to hope other QBs that were chosen before him have a bad season? No.

well you see, Tim Tebow was awful. Just real, real terrible.

Tebow also got like, 2 or 3 chances after being awful. He got roster spots even after everyone knew he was useless and a media circus. Colin Kaepernick just threw 16 touchdowns and 4 interceptions and ran for like 450 yards in a season coming off surgeries on one of the least talented teams to ever play on a football field. Now he's fully healthy, back to playing weight, coaches and players love him and attest to his work ethic and commitment to football endlessly, and he's physically very, very talented. He's 29 years old and coming off a season where he was a serviceable NFL quarterback and we've watched some really terrible quarterbacks get signed to rosters above him. Literally one quarterback who had a comparable season has gone unsigned into their following year since 1966. Some things are bigger than football. A player being blacklisted because he stands up for what he believes in is absolute bullshit and I hope everyone complicit in it suffers because of it.

  15. I love you guys, and love talking football but I think I'm gonna dip out of this thread until this Kaep stuff is done.

Apparently, all he did was block his baby's mother from entering a car. Did not physically assault her.

I saw you quoted me and I was genuinely confused. I couldn't recall any pun so I had no idea what this was about.

Is this....a conversation? Do I respond? What do I do?
