    Thank you!
Maybe I just have Circa Survive on the brain because I'm so excited for the new album and the tour with Thrice.
They listen to a lot of old school country at my work, so if Hank Williams Jr. starts sounding like Anthony Green I'll know it's just me going crazy.

God damn is this album amazing. Ebbs and flows incredibly and it's so cohesive.

On the artwork, I think it's two sticks / branches off the tree that are falling - they look just like what the little figure is grabbing on to.

I figured out part of what reminds me of MMJ with the sound - some of the guitar parts are echoey and have reverb that sounds a ton like It Still Moves era Jacket.

To me it's too early to say where this falls as far as MO's discography with any certainty, but it's certainly good enough where it could find itself at the top in years to come, and it has a strong chance of being my personal AOTY.

Noisey link isn't working for me. Is it not active anymore? It's saying 'might be temporary down or moved.'

I dunno. Seems to me that they are tree trimming shears. That would make sense thematically as well, since all the branches below her are cut off. We're meant to see that she's been working her way up the tree cutting them off as she climbs, until it all goes wrong of course.

Everyone keeps saying they're shears, and I keep thinking "they're not shears!" But I just blew the picture up and gave it a close look, and yep, I'm pretty sure they're shears.

It definitely could be shears - that's what I saw all along right from the first time I saw the album art. It was only this afternoon while listening to the album on my iPhone and looking at the art that it really looked like two branches / sticks falling - but on my phone the picture really isn't that big. Either way it's definitely one of my favorite album covers in recent memory.

I have to throw some love out there for The Mistake. It's an incredible song. I don't see a dip in quality in that song at all. And I definitely don't hear similarity to the Billy Joel song, and I'm a pretty huge Billy Joel fan. Not saying it isn't there, but I have yet to hear it myself.

Ranking the songs seems hard to me right now just based on how well this album flows and works all together. It really does strike me as one long work much more so than most albums ever do to me. I think if I had to pick a least enjoyable track I'd have to go with The Parts, but even that is a damn good song that serves a perfect purpose where it is in the overall album.

It's neat to me that even though historically I've always loved 'heavy' MO, like where they really rock the F out, I find myself reeeally enjoying the one-two punch of The Alien-The Sunshine on this album.

It's totally shears...she's making her way up the tree, clipping along the way.

My photo book arrived in good condition, my thoughts & prayers are with those of you with less luck!

No no I know I just...don't like it as a video. It reminds me of some really dreadful TV ads we have over here that I always want to turn off. Nobody's fault and ridiculous that I associate other things that annoy me with it, but there we are, I don't have to watch and can just enjoy the song.

When I first started watching the video, I thought it was going to be some super cheesy video of Andy dancing around with the baby and I started to get REAL worried. Thankfully, it wasn't that.
