Is there a pattern I'm missing here?

He disagrees a good bit. California is his favorite and DR is 5th.

I am 100% correct. I just don't think you're ready for my proof.

  7. I personally don't think DR is very good outside a few songs. Same goes for Buddha and CC.

    I'm not doubting you

Thank you, and yeah that's what I expect! I think it's because of them HISALP is my favorite off the new cd.

Ah... But yea, it was in Kerrang like a month ago.

  11. Buddha and Cheshire Cat aren't good albums. They have some good songs, but they aren't good front to back. Most of Mark's songs on Dude Ranch are top tier Mark/Blink. Apple Shampoo, Dammit, Waggy, Josie, for example. The sound effect interludes are dumb. There's a couple of dud songs (Boring, for one). Also, they had really cool song structures! Apple Shampoo doesn't even have a repeated chorus!

Yeah I feel like I'm a broken record talking about Dude Ranch but Mark's songs are all good to great but Tom's songs really drag the album down outside of Untitled and Enthused. They are nearly unlistenable to me, they just haven't aged well.

Marks songs are the ones on DR I agree have aged well. Most of Tom's not so much. Still love the album though, but Untitled is the best

Tom's on TOYPAJ and Enema still hold up

I have no issues with listening to any of Tom's songs from Enema on. Some are better than others for sure but 95% of Tom's songs before Enema are just eh, next.

Eh... I still like his Enema songs, but Mutt and Dumpweed lyrics have not aged well. Anthem is okay. Dystentary Gary is kind of weird.

For TOYPAJ, One Reason is super skippable. Reckless is alright, I guess. Lonely Guy hasn't aged well to me.

I still listen to those albums in full, but Mark has the better songs, by far.

See, I'm baffled by this. Tom's songs on DR are definitely well written. I think it's the album that has his most mature lyrics, even if they're coupled with some immature ones

Yea, his one about being a peeping Tom is super deep.

I think Mark carried the band until TOYPAJ which I think the album was pretty equal but Tom definitely outshined Mark on Untitled and sadly Neighborhoods too.

Like I said, not every one is perfect. But a song like I'm Sorry is one of his best

Untitled has very little Mark. It's hard to say he was outshined. He was held back, IMO. But he loves that record, so perhaps he was cool with it during that time.

    Nothing shines on Neighborhoods.
