Doors for the nxt house show tomorrow are at 6, and starts at 7:30. Do I need to be there early for anything? And how long do the house shows go? Haven't been to a house show in ages.

Only go as early as you want to allow for some time in line, and to wait in the probably large beer line. It'll be done by 10 or 10:30, and they'll do a proper intermission halfway in for 15 mins or so.

Do the smaller NXT shows do meet and greets like Indies do? I feel like that'd be in their best interest for these jamokes that aren't on tv trying to get over.

That Ricochet/Sydal match was underwhelming but I'm sure the Keith Lee match will be dope.

The small Florida NXT shows have proper meet and greets. Looking back, it's kind of sad - I met a lot of wrestlers at those house shows that have already moved onto the main roster, yet Hideo is still there.

Even freaking Elias Samson, a guy who less than two years ago would play guitar and hand out fake business cards while everyone was in line, is on the main roster. Wish I would have kept one lol.

Went to a farm league baseball game last night hosted by my girlfriend's employer, so I had to meet a bunch of her work friends. One of them tried to roast me by being all "I heard you like WWE lol" and I was all "fuck yeah what about it", and by the end of the conversation I had both successfully explained to the douchebros why wrestling is way fucking better than baseball and MMA as well as ousted the dude who initially tried to make fun of me for it as a closet fan.

I'll give them credit for being cool about it and taking the L.

All four Broken Universe-related trademarks that TNA Entertainment (now Global Force Wrestling) filed for registration have been given an initial refusal by the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

The "Broken Matt" trademark was refused for various reasons. The primary reason given was likely confusion with Matt Hardy's own filing for a 'Broken Matt Hardy' trademark, which Hardy filed first. TNA Entertainment will have to provide valid arguments to show there is no potential conflict between the two. Once that argument is filed, action on the application will be suspended, pending the USPTO decision on Matt's application, which would take precedence since he filed first. GFW would also need to indicate whether "Broken Matt" identifies a living person and if it does, they would then need Matt's consent. Given the estrangement between the two sides, that would put GFW in quite the interesting predicament.

The "Brother Nero" trademark was refused because GFW needed to indicate whether it identifies a living person, and if it does they would need Jeff Hardy's consent. Nero is Jeff Hardy's legitimate middle name.

The "Broken Brillance'" trademark was refused because GFW must specify whether "Broken Brillance" has any significance in professional wrestling or whether it's just a "term of art" in the wrestling industry.

The trademark for "Vanguard1" was refused due to likely confusion with a non wrestling-related trademark.

All four were also refused because the wordings used for identification and classification of goods and services were too broad and the USPTO ruled the filings needed clarification.

Lol I fucking do, and so does it's business spiraling down the shitter. For every great MMA fight I've seen, it's surrounded by 3 or 4 turds

I mean they just sold for 4.7 billion. This year has been lackluster but thats how the sport can be at times like anything else. I'm more pumped about tonights UFC ppv than 90% of wrestling I anticipate.

Having to wait a month for the Mae Young Classic is dumb.

Curious to see what they are setting up. I think there is potential for a Four Horsewomen Survivor Series. That would be nuts.

The company did, but the buys have been slipping hard and fast because after 10 years of slamming wrestling, they adopted their style of pushing their big personalities over any sort of legitimate contendership/merit system, with the key flaw being that when your company's face is John Cena, you control the book and can make him look strong and credible for years. When it's Rhonda Rousey, and she gets embarassed twice in a row while you shafted everyone else in the division, there's no one left to give a shit about.

MMA is great sometimes, but in terms of entertainment, I'd rather watch three hours of Raw over 5-6 hours of UFC's b-shows, and I fucking hate watching Raw lol

This is the most hopeful part. Brother Nero is something WWE could pass off easily, and the Broken Brilliance can be reworked into something else. Vanguard could die and be renamed.

But if Hardy's application wins out (or both lose), then we'll get Broken Hardy in the WWE
