He's credited in the linear notes as "Nate Reuss appears courtesy of Atlantic records."

There is no other confirmed detail on it yet. Just speculation that he appears at the end of the Maze.

Along with Nate Reuss, Brand New's fifth album is also hiding somewhere in here.

yeah I agree I think it's The Maze, I think he's one of the layered harmonies at 1:35 and at other points as well. Sounds a lot like him.

I enjoy this album. Not sure which my early favorites are but I'm a fan of this as a whole.

mmmm idk LSD is not a drug that "junkies" use and it's not a drug that make people lose their minds. It can awaken or heighten pre-existing conditions (like schizophrenia) but no one has ever developed a condition from taking it. So to that end it's entirely possible whoever took it started experiencing either new symptoms or heightened symptoms and acted irrationally by shooting up a grocery (I think only with the intention of killing they're father but accidentally killing others?)

I still like it but it's definitely my least favourite at this point. The only one that doesn't really do anything special for me.

The whole middle section from The Maze to The Alien are super close for me.

I liked the wolf a little more today but its still my least favorite, I think the phrasing of the verses is kind of lack luster

and I don't like that he says "ironically into the family planning aisle" it being ironic seems evident already !

honestly i haven't listened a ton to the first half of the record. it might be cause i listened to the singles as they were released but i usually just start with the sunshine. the back half of the record is such a beast compared to the first imo

Moth lead and gold are all top songs though! Also the maze is spectacular as well, I think it's a short balanced record.

I keep going back and forth on if the guy in "Lead, SD" is the same one shooting people in "The Grocery" and he was simply there when the shooting happened and was blown "ironically in to the family planning isle". It's confusing though because I would assume Lead is before Grocery, but a girls death is talked about in Lead which makes me think the songs that are connected shift back and forth on the timeline mid song or something. It's both very fun and very frustrating to try and figure this story out haha
