I once saw Milo open for Old Gray and the crowd was mostly White kids who had no idea who he was. For at least three minutes he just repeatedly screamed the line "Brothers like me don't live too long, that's why I write so many rap songs."

This Amine album is pretty amazing so far. I'm honestly blown away

I stopped Amine halfway through, the beats are great and dude is talented but it seems really aimless, not feeling it, like all filler

Getting the same vibe halfway through the Vic album, maybe it's me

 

I dunno-- I feel like the lyrics on the Amine album are pretty sincere. A really impressive debut imo.

The Pinkerton sample on the Vic album is so corny

 

I can say it's a dope track

 

I turned off Vic to finish Amine and look for this song. Also Vic told himself that Kurt Cobain in heaven likes his stuff and I was really confused.

 

I'd have never known that was them without reading this, now it's so obvious

Other than the Amine and Vic Mensa album, it's kind of a slow release day today so I wanted to share this artist I saw open for the Jidenna show last night. He's from Bangladesh and there are strong cultural influences in his music. He put on a hell of a show and his album is fantastic:

 

I don't feel like hating on a track like that Vic one because it's too real to hate, but in a long line of rap songs like it it's definitely one of the weirder ones.
