Untitled has aged much much better IMO.

 

I was about to turn 17 when Untitled came out. I bought it the day it was released and I was like, "yeah, okay..." I like it better as I've gotten older, but it's still a little "try-hard" for me. I like the production of the album a lot though.

 

One funny thing I remember from the time though is how every kid got into the Cure real hard for about a year after Untitled was released. Haha.

 

Hahaha yeah I remember the surge in popularity the Cure got in the scene after Untitled came out. The funniest part of it to me was how no one would admit that they just got into them.....they all tried to act like they've been die hard Cure fans for ages despite never once talking about them lol

 

Me not loving Untitled back in '03 didn't stop me from dying my hair black and growing out my bangs though.

 

Hahaha this. I remember that too. Fortunately I've been a die-hard Cure fan all my life. I'll be 33 next month and I've always been a fan since I was around 8(?) due to the fact that my uncle was always a fan and used to listen to them religiously

 

I love Dude Ranch but really have a hard time listening to any of the Tom only songs outside of Untitled and Enthused now. Mark carried that album for sure.

 

For me Mark always carried the first three albums and Tom carried the next three

Yeah I agree except I think Mark and Tom were pretty even on TOYPAJ.

 

Yeah probably now looking back on the tracklist. They both have their highs and lows on that album

 

I forgot to add Dashboard Confessional to my list.

 

Possibility of them announcing some club shows on the east coast? I haven't looked at their touring but I remember there was availability in some places.

I'd out DED above it. Like way above. But Neighborhoods is below both.

 

You are really high on your own opinion, it seems. I haven't been around long but every time you post it seems like you feel your opinion is the one true word. That's what I find disgusting. If someone wants to rank California over DR let them. -_- What do I know though just my two cents.
