Some guys would kill to be sent to NXT, I'm sure. I don't think it could possibly lead to a pay cut until their next contract comes around, and they would spend so much less time on the road. Would allow guys like Dolph to get entire additional years out of his body, I would imagine. It's up to the company to make it seem like a lateral move from a credibility perspective rather than a downgrade.

 

Meltz says the US title match at Battleground was changed to an Owens win mid-match, just before the ref bump. A lot of people are giving this a lot of shit, and rightfully so, but bonkers stuff like this is why I love wrestling lol

 

I wish I had put money on that match. Owens had 500:1 odds. Vince probably put 10K on the match.

The difference in quality is insane

 

Wasn't in love with the Punjabi Prison match by any means, but 0.75 stars seems a little harsh. That one Singh brother taking that fall to the table alone should be worth one star.

 

New favorite thing about Fire Pro: the RKO can be spammed at any time. You can be standing there with no one around you, and if you press X+A, Randy jumps up and tries to RKO the air lol. So you can just walk into a large crowd in a battle royal and mash it and pray someone's head wanders into your hitbox. Pretty great.

 

There were problems beyond the wrestling which I think really took away from it. Being overbooked and the crowd not being able to see the match were certainly huge detractors.

Yeah I could understand that. It just goes to show they should never have another Punjabi Prison match. It's not a very exciting stipulation and as you pointed out the live crowd can't see shit.

 

Not to mention that they really, really overdid the slow crawls up the cage. Hell, even Khali shaking the cage and Randy magically falling back inside was pretty nonsensical.

Id probably have gone like 1.5 stars, but, Im also not coming right off G1 matches that are infinitely better

 

deserves at least a star for the fact that khali was able to climb the prison a little bit

 

+1 star for Singh bump
+1 star for Khali climbing
+1.5 stars for not being the G1

3.5 stars unless anyone wants to add stars.

 

Oh damn. Apparently Okada cut promo about how the old guys in G1 aren't good anymore and are taking up spots young guys should have. Must've been listening to Tonga's promo.
