I can't imagine being so worked up about a celebrity's personal life, especially when it's all speculation. People are weird

Yeah. Roy's Instagram was making me feel sick. She had to make it private it was so bad. Twitter wasn't on that same level but it's still upsetting.

 

In a religion class that I took last semester, someone gave a 15 minute presentation about the "Church of Bey".

 

tbh I don't understand stans at all. It's their idol or whatever but they don't know her. The stan culture is just so bizarre to me. When ppl joke around and exaggerate I think it's funny but when they're actually serious I get so weirded out. It's why no matter how much I love an artist I can never really call myself one. It's just too much. And I'm not above celeb gossip in the slightest lol it's like my bread and butter, but I do not get attacking ppl in the name of a person who will never know you exist and would prob be scared of you irl (you = the rabid fans, not you personally lol)

 

I should have said it better but I meant I understand them defending her on a smaller scale about things that aren't this harmful. You're right these celebs would be terrified to come into contact with any of them IRL lol @Kiana

 

yeah I get defending an idol by talking among friends and being like "wow, if that dude cheated on her he's scum" but taking it to ppl's social media pages and addressing the actual ppl... heck no lol!

 

This, and also when the person themselves go after the one their significant other cheated with.

Could never be a stan, that shit is so extra. Where's the fun in experiencing art if you take your enjoyment past the point where you'd even critique it?

 

right? and like I totally laugh when ppl are messing around and posting corny obviously photoshopped gifs and nobody crosses that line. To me it's kinda akin to sports fan giving each other a hard time over their teams but not being serious haha. But when ppl are making fun of a celeb's mental illness or faking tweets to make the celeb seem racist or other wild things they do... smh. And yeah, there's definitely this weird culture that you can only like one popstar at a time like SORRY I LOVE BRIT AND XTINA EQUALLY!!

Of Christina's newer music. This song is my favorite and I listen to it at least once a day.

 

I hope one day that we as a society can realize that Bionic is not nearly as bad as its reputation. It has some of her best ballads and she collabed with so many great women on it and she was finally letting go and not taking herself seriously. I remember her getting torn apart for daring to have songs about sex and her child on one album, like gtfo!

Vanity is the perfect song to listen to while getting ready with girlfriends to go out. Like "Mirror mirror on the wall who's the flyest bitch of them all? Never mind, I am" That's just good lyricism!!
