Idk how it plays on ps4 but Paladins on Xbox is a lot of fun. Love the whole card system mechanic as it gives you different playstyles for all the heroes so it has a lot of replayability to it. If Hi-Rez does fully support this game then I can only see it being bigger, which I think is what their main priority is right now

 

I've seen people comparing it to Overwatch, and I watched a bit of a stream and it seems to be (not a bad thing at all). Is it similar in a refreshing kinda way? The card thing is interesting like.

Might just download it for the hell of it. Only a 3GB install if the PlayStation Store is to be believed.

 

The only way it's similar to Overwatch are a few character designs imo, I feel like it plays much differently, the card system being a big part of that. I guess I can see where the game can be compared to OW is coming from but it still has its own identity.

 

Thanks for this! Definitely going to give it a try. Need something new since all I play is OW and Rocket League at the minute...

 

Definitely watch some YouTube vids about comparisons, I'll see if I can find some for you that will give you a clearer picture about it. Hate when games such as Paladins are seen as copycats or a "bad version" of another game, feels like people won't give it a chance because of that.

 

finished GTA V the other day and delved into Online a bit. pretty fun, but it'd be better with friends (like most online games). I played solo until I saved up enough money for an apartment, but now I have no real incentive to keep playing. let me know if anyone here wants to play sometime though.

in the meantime, I gave the PS Now trial a go so that I could finally play Red Dead Redemption, and it works surprisingly well. lagged a couple times, but otherwise it's been totally smooth.

 

Started Black Flag. So much fun so far, but man is the map massive. Exhausted just looking at it. Enjoying the story a lot though.

 

Paladins is Overwatch without the polish

 

100% (I guess 104%) finished Crash 3. It was easily my least favorite of the trilogy. The vehicle levels thrown in made it feel more like a variety game and I didn't enjoy any of them. Personally I hate time trials as well (won't be collecting the gold relic gem), so needing to complete those to collect gems and open levels was lame. Even when I played a level I enjoyed, the thought of having to go back and do time trials was a bummer. On top of all of that it was too easy (never thought I'd complain about that after Crash 1). Crash 2 seemed to be the best of the 3, though that could be my nostalgia with the game kicking in. Anyways, time to play that DLC and long for the days of easy Warped levels.

 

Is the entire country banned or the language?

 

Currently jumping between KH 2.8, Crash Bandicoot Triology and going in and out of FF15 and NG+ of Horizon Zero Dawn.

Hadn't played much recently then got the itch to finish and start some new games.

The Sims 4 Coming to Xbox One This November

 

I didn't realize Pyre was out tomorrow, that's incredibly exciting. I have almost no idea what that game is but I trust Supergiant.

 

Reviews have been looking awesome. I had no idea either, but read one (from Polygon) and it sounds super interesting. Really excited for it!

 

I'm excited to play Pyre despite not really having time to play it right now.

I bought Splatoon 2 on a whim. Haven't played it or the first one. I actually wasn't sure what it was until I watched Giant Bombs video but it looked like a hell of a lot of fun and my Switch is still just a Zelda machine at this point.

 

Okay, I'm having a lot of fun with Paladins, but i have pretty much no idea what's going on with all the menus. I just pick a hero and ignore everything else...

 

splatoon is the reason I barely play smite and that is pretty crazy.
