i want to volunteer but just can't right now. but one of the people i look up to said, you know, "do what you can when you can. right now you're trying to focus on studying so that comes first [i'm at university rn, idk about you]" and it was good to remember that while i value this it doesn't mean i gotta dedicate my free time to it rn since i need to take some time for myself

 

You're right. When I work 12-16 hr shifts I have a few days off of work during the week and I try to use them to help people. I currently volunteer at soup kitchens, reading to kids at the library (I'm a major bookworm so I enjoy it a lot), and the hardest which is an advocacy group for sexual assault and abuse. When I take a day for myself, I feel like I should be doing more on that day. I'm going to end up burning out if I don't make more time for myself.

Yeah well hardly anyone has posted in my electronic or metal threads where I posted staggering lists of albums to listen to

They always hurt my stomach, too. I can drink a red bull every now and then but not Monster.

I don't think I've ever drank an energy drink, and they used to give out free Red Bulls on campus cause that's where the team practiced.

Well... I guess red bull and vodka counts.

 

Late high school and early college I was all about Monsters. Now the sugar content alone makes them a definite no for me

 

never had an issue with it before but it's been literal years since i had an energy drink so i have no way of knowing haha. but yeah my stomach feels like it's full of gas now

 

Yeah, they gave them out for free on my campus. Red bull and vodka makes me feel like I'm going to drop dead of a heart attack at any moment.

 

Oh I'm already subbed to the threads. Haha

 

i have no idea why somebody would want to mix alcohol and energy drinks but i'm against mixing in general

 

I've made five different deliveries to the same middle school today lol. These teachers need to coordinate lunch with each other

 

I consider it a good night if I go to bed before the sun comes up

 

It's for when I'm out at a club or lounge but am feeling sleepy or tired.

hm i guess so. tbf i can't do energy drinks in general, i had to stop drinking coffee because my sleep sucks without throwing caffeine in the mix as well.

yah i drink pretty much everything straight.

 

This was me. I read about 2 of them and just gave up because there's just too much ha

 

I had a jack and coke slushy and it blew my mind. I had tried the kind of fruity slushies at Wet Willies but this was amazing.

 

Not a fan of Jack and Coke.

My gma told me everytime I get a cold to take a few shots of Jack and it really works lol
