I have not been able to get into that band. I thought I liked them, but I feel like there's something missing and I don't know...what.

 

I'm wondering if I'm a jaded old man now though, cause I also don't get into Turnover, Sorority Noise, Modern Baseball etc. haha.

 

I don't really like any of them either. But there are plenty of younger bands that I still DO like, so I don't feel old quite yet

 

Anyone in particular you're digging at the moment? I discovered Young and Heartless recently and they're pretty good.

 

Some bands who I'd still consider new-ish, hmmmm... Not really within the same smaller gener, but Clean Cut Kid if you like more upbeat pop-ish rock, PUP definitely fills my grittier pop-punk type void along with the latest FIDLAR album. I dig Cloud Nothings and Japandroids overall, both put out solid releases this year. I actually dig Pet Symmetry even though I don't really find much to like in Evan Weiss's other projects, well except T/T/T which is great. Uhhhhh, I dunno, I would have to probably think more about more rock-ish bands as I've been listening to a lot more pop and indie lately, I think there's a lot more of that out there in general.

I've never heard of Young and Heartless though, going to have to check them out

Does that include the new Sorority Noise? I was pretty meh on them too until this latest release, it's got my hooked

 

Yeah, I don't mind bits of it but it's really not my jam.

I have kind of fallen off with some of the punk/emo side of things at the moment though. Have been listening to a lot of toe, American Football, plenty of chilled mathrock and lots of straight indie like Now, Now and Band of Horses.

 

I would like Now, Now to open on a tour

 

I also enjoy a lot of Band of Horses work. I am with you, my tastes have surely changed a lot

Is Tarble still in the band?

 

No they fired him because he was weak. Replaced him with Dodoria, heck of an unclean vocalist.

 

No Tarble, No Vegeta & The Saibaman, it's not the same.

 

Oh man, Zarbon is gonna be so crushed they went with Dodoria instead of him. Maybe his modeling career will take off instead.

 

I have no idea what is happening.

Him and Jeice started a modeling thing he'll be ok. Keeps him busy while Vegeta, Nappa, Dodoria, and a Saibaman are on tour in Universe 6.

Tarble started his own band with Cell Jr, Bubbles and Puar. It's not very good. Very eccentric and U2ish. Also Tarble's voice has gone to shit. Live shows sound nothing like the abums do.

 

Tomorrow will be the day. I'm sure of it.
