Also, I'm getting pretty tired of all the "women, am I right?" Or "men, am I right?" Quips that seem to dominate decision making.

I think I'm gonna read through it again and count how many times someone makes a generality about the behavior of the other gender.

Just finished reading book 3. Probably take a couple weeks off and then hop into book 4. I wish I was finished with the series so I could come into this thread and participate without worrying about spoilers.

That's book six done and dusted.

Rand making the Aes Sedai kneel was really damn satisfying. Long overdue.

 

Ugh!!! What was on that paper that Pedro Niall was given right before he was killed??

Morgase letting herself be trapped by the Children of Light was so obviously dumb.

Ok, this whole black tower thing with Taim ain't gonna end well.

 

Is Faile only there to get jealous...and annoy me? It is honestly driving me nuts. These damn audiobooks are 30-40 hours each and I have like 7 more to go. I literally hate these jealous outbursts so damn much. They are nothing but a waste of time.

 

Book 7 has been really slow. And I'm 3/4 of the way through. After how exciting six ended, this has been a real let down.

I was at a bbq last night and talking to a friend about GOT which became Wheel of Time talk and someone I hadn't met overheard and we got into a long conversation about it, and it ends up that she's been a fan since the beginning but for some reason had no idea the final book had came out. I'm not sure I've ever made someone as happy as I did just by telling her it exists.

And she's on my side when it comes to Faile!

- every time she is mentioned positively I feel like I need to reiterate my despisal

 

but I'm the only one mentioning her positively, lol.

 

I can't think if there's a character that I actually disliked in the entire series. Elaida drove me crazy but in a good way. I don't think there was anyone I really didn't want to hear from.

Maybe Mat on very rare occasions, if he was gambling or something. But I love him overall.

 

I dislike her that much haha

 

My hatred for Nynaeve is reaching epic proportions. I hope beyond hope she dies soon. Her oversized role in 7 and now 8 is ruining this whole thing for me.

 

Boo, she's the best. She does have a smaller role in the later books, unfortunately for me, fortunately for you, ha.

 

The thing is, I can't really say if she is a bad character or not or if it is just the audiobook performance. But I actually considered abandoning the books midway through 7 because of her. Each mention of her "tugging her braid" makes me irrationally angry.

But I've also turned a corner on Mat. So that's something. Haha. The developments with him have redeemed him for me. It doesn't hurt that he often goes up against Nynaeve. It really got me on his side.

 

Nynaeve is a top 10, maybe 5, character for me, haha.

 

I love her little quirks like tugging on her braid and her explosive tantrums. She's better than everyone else and she damn well knows it, haha.

 

Top 3 easy for me, maybe even my favorite "good" character.

 

Aviendha thoooooo

 

I would give anything to replace all of Nynaeve's viewpoints with Aviendha.

 

Oh yeah, she's definitely up there.
