Positive side: hey, she seems super into you! If she threw that kind of fit for not responding then obviously there are feelings there. And strong ones at that.

Negative: she seems to be a bit negative and super rushes to judgments like a character from a day time soap opera would so tread carefully. Might wake up in the middle of the night with her watching you from the window with night vision goggles.

Crowdsourcing an opinion here. What is the general consensus on who texts first after a first date?

I'm not shy at all when it comes to dating, I'll go up to guys at bars, ask them out, etc etc. BUT I still feel that if a guy doesn't text me first within the next few days after a first date then that means he's just not interested. In my experience, whenever I've texted a guy first after a date and/or scheduled a second date they never seem to go anywhere.

 

I always send a text when I get home from a date if I'm interested. Usually "hey I had a great time, let's do it again soon"

I'm also a constant texter though. I'd say send one, it can't hurt
