For whatever it's worth: I've really appreciated the conversation in here.

obviously I have no way of knowing but, I really love the singles after multiple listens, the album just seems to speak really well to my personal musical taste. I think its going to take some time for some people but for me, yea it just seemed to really speak to me musically, can't wait to listen to this with a nice pair of headphones and a cold beer on the 28th at midnight (or sooner I guess if preorders arrive early)

The Alien transitions into The Sunshine really nicely as well! That three-song stretch is stunning.

Not to keep hyping, but even putting aside the quality of the songs themselves, this is SUCH a gorgeously produced album. I seriously cannot say enough good things about the sound of the album.

I don't get what's so weird about someone loving an album on first listen, or first few listens. I know when TDAGARIM came out, I loved it the first spin.

    Anyways, I neeeeed The Moth

If you listen to the gold into the moth you are still sort of getting the album experience.. right? Lol

The Polyrhythmic structure is really interesting. I didn't really adore on first listen. Will try to use my headphones.

You know, I actually wasn't sure at first because I'm usually not a huge diehard fan of ManOrch to the same extent as some of you guys... I've always really liked their albums but they weren't one of my most played artists necessarily. But this album has impressed me so much that it's making me want to go back to all their albums and just sit in awe of this band's artistry. So in short, yes haha

P.S. It kind of sucked getting attacked by multiple people and told to fuck off for trying to say that it may be more complicated and I didn't want everyone fighting with each other, or at least do it in the tour thread. I've seen things get out of hand, and they did and then the conclusion was what I said earlier, that it's a sticky and not so black and white situation. My girlfriend is a social worker, and I've had people in my family that have faced abuse and it is an awful thing, that should be discussed. I agree with you all. I just didn't see this as a forum where it would be productive, that is all. I never meant to discredit the victim.

I've been coming to this thread for a few months now as an escape from shit going on in my life, and I didn't want the comradery that we have had recently to go out the door. I felt like this was a tight community that had a lot of awesome people.

Hopefully all of that is behind us and we can focus on the new single.

Seems to me you didn't say it's more complicated than it seems here, just that people should stop talking about it.

So why wouldn't it be productive in this thread but would be in the tour thread? Why are you trying to talk down anybody discussing domestic abuse? Why should I or anyone else give a shit about the comradery you find in this thread when there are more important things to discuss?

If you want to discuss the album, go right ahead. Nobody is stopping you, but don't play the victim card right now and try making anybody feel bad for you right now because people told you to fuck off.

I don't know all the details about what got privately messaged to Casey and Jake, but I do know that this was an important discussion to have about domestic abuse and every thread should be able to discuss it freely, not just the "tour thread" which gets far less traffic than this one.

We also have to try to remember that @BoldTitan is new to the community. He may not have been as comfortable discussing these things as most of us, who have been conversing for years now on the site. I def dont think we should have changed he narrative of the conversation but maybe we could have been kinder in how we informed him on how we wanted to discuss the topic. I gotta be careful how I phrase this bc I'm not saying that the conversation wasn't productive or that it shouldn't have happened, I'm just saying that maybe for an outsider it can feel a bit uncomfortable.

I don't feel comfortable tone policing anyone when the issue is as serious as this.

I'm not saying we shouldn't have told him he was wrong, im just saying that people appreciate it more when you do things in a kinder manner. No one likes to feel attacked. But that's just how I feel on the matter, and I definitely feel that both sides had their faults here.
