Jinxed it. To be fair though, she was visiting her grandfather in the hospital in MI last week. I texted her this afternoon after not texting the last day or two and she said he passed away yesterday morning and she's having a hard time with it and doesn't feel she'll be in a good place to date in a while. I told her I was sorry for her loss and I understood completely and would send good vibes her way and that when she gets better i hope we get a chance to meet up and best wishes. She said she appreciated it and wished me luck too.


I'm pretty bummed about it, but I understand.

I had a girl on tinder ask if I was free tonight and i don't know if i want to do that or just stay at home and drink.

Either option is reasonable, I think. There's the slightest chance texting her back in a couple of months may come off a little pushy depending on how she takes it, but honestly you've got nothing to lose because if it's been a couple of months and you haven't heard anything you probably weren't going to anyways.

I have this looming feeling that a breakup is in my future. She has had constant doubts of whether she wants a relationship in the past, and said some awful things to me as a result. I always tell her that her love comes in seasons, it's like for every month that she is all about me, there will be a couple of weeks after where I'm an afterthought. Now the ratio is growing in the negative direction and she's insanely distant. I don't feel like I'm at home when I'm home.

Honestly I'm past the point in life where I'm going to beat myself up over a failed relationship. I'm not perfect and can get really indignant when I feel like I'm right, but I am loyal and honest to the bone and I think I'm pretty good at keeping my lover's interests in mind in most that I do. It just sucks because I moved into her place, which would put me in a tailspin of searching for a place. I feel like I'd end up back at the apartment me and buddy rented as he still lives there, but it would feel like a massive regression.

Idk, hope I'm wrong, but today's conversations don't bode well for a very good night... or week. Luckily I have many positive distractions.

Just spent the last two hours on FaceTime with a girl I matched with this afternoon from tinder. She's a history teacher and she lives in the city I work for but teaches during the school year at a school 1.5 hours up north. we told stories about bad tinder dates and work stories and she's hella funny and cute. She leaves for vacation tomorrow for 10 days but we've already set a date up for when she gets back.
