The first six months of 2017 have probably brought more than enough albums to fill a year-end list. Alas, it’s only mid-year, which leaves us with the task of distilling everything we’ve heard so far into quick, concise top 10 lists. Rather than try to define the overarching themes of the year, we’d rather just let the albums we love speak for themselves. Below, you will find both our combined staff top 10, as well as individual lists from our contributors and moderators. Here’s hoping you find something new to love.

Note: You can share your own list in our music forum.

Kinda surprised Stapleton made it so high, but solid list overall. Weirdly though, the top six has three albums I really like and three I really dislike

Glad to see Vasudeva on at least one of those lists! (though there's a typo in the name guys! ;d). Wouldn't come up with 10 names on the spot right now, but TOP 3 without any overthinking would be Vasudeva, The Lulls in Traffic and Paramore, so far!

Shout out to Kyle for picking the THEY. album. I can't stop listening to it.

Also check out their new song with Lido, Not Enough. It's like an early/mid 90s New Jack Swing time machine.

Good to see The Maine on a bunch of list. Surprised All Time Low and Acceptance not on most list, and absolutely no love for the new The Classic Crime or Aaron Sprinkle album.

I still do not get the love for The Menzingers record, my opinion of the record has only declined with time and it didn't start high, but I agree with a lot of this!

My top records are probably something like this (off the top of my head and in no order beside P-more at the top). And yeah it's 16 records but 10 is an arbitrary number too:

    Paramore
    Head North
    Code Orange
    Dryjacket
    Vince Staples
    Kendrick Lamar
    Lorde
    Tricot
    A Lot Like Birds
    The Classic Crime
    Sorority Noise
    Oso Oso
    '68
    Souvenirs
    The Smith Street Band
    Passion Pit

    EDIT:
After some more thought I'd like to add Decade and MUNA to my list.

Tricot is great. Menzingers is also great. Oso Oso is very good though I look at it like Joyce Manor; very good, though it just doesn't resonate with me the way it does others.
