It was weird walking around the Streets of America at Hollywood Studios today, knowing that tomorrow they are closing it off to start destroying it for Star Wars land. Also Lights Motors Action had its last show today

I've never much cared for Lights Motor Action, it always seemed too much like Disney's attempt at cashing in on fast and furious. Do you know if muppet vision is staying open? (Asking for a friend of course)

There were some rumors it would be closing but now it looks like it'll stay open. They closed Pizza Planet, and now the rumor is that will become a Muppet themed restaurant. That area around Muppets and Mama Melrose's is now going to be called Muppet's Courtyard.

I thought Pizza Planet was only closing for refurbishment...I think there are rumors that they are moving it and revamping it to prepare for the new toy story area. But I don't know what's rumor and what's confirmed.

Ah okay, I was really hoping for an update because the show itself has been the same for 20+ years and I've seen it far too many times now

The official word from Disney is refurb, so it's definitely only a rumor at this point. Not sure what to believe, but them calling the area Muppet's Courtyard makes me put a little more stock in the rumor, though.

Yeah, true, that's why I think I believed the rumor about them changing it's location. It wouldn't make sense to get rid of it with the toy story area coming. But maybe moving it or changing it a little bit to make it somehow separate from the muppet area.

It's so crazy to me that all that stuff happened, glad I got to go on it when I did though. The regular Beast is just as amazing though.

me and a friend from high school used to go nuts for coasters. the summer we graduated we went to hershey, great adventure, the six flags in MD and cedar point. cedar point was unreal. loved that place so much.

i also never knew there is a huge niche in the world of disney photography. the same friend actually moved outside orlando and makes a living taking pictures at the resorts/parks there.

That's awesome. I'm going in two weeks for 8 days, including my wedding. Basically counting down the seconds at this point.

I got to meet Joy and Sadness from Inside Out at Epcot yesterday, as well as Baymax. It was a highlight for me haha

Forgot to mention - I visited the new Disney Springs for the first time two weeks back and it is BEAUTIFUL. I can't wait for the rest to open up.

I'm itching to get to Disney World or Disneyland again. I was in Epcot in December and Disneyland/California Adventure in October and I really want to go back.
I also pass Universal weekly and have to stare at Hogwarts without being able to go in

I live about 20 minutes from Six Flags Over Texas. I haven't been in years, because I'm not much of a roller coaster guy, but the VR aspect really interests me, so I might check it out soon.

Thing that bugs me about Six Flags is they use different names for the same coasters at different locations. If I remember correctly, they opened up a Batman ride at one of the Texas locations that is the exact thing as the Joker ride opening in Jersey. I don't know why it bothers me so much, haha

Yeah, it's a bummer especially for people who travel to theme parks to try something new.

There's so much thought process and engineering when it comes to creating these rides, that once one is a success they want to feature it at more parks so that people who do not travel for them can also experience it. Each Six Flags having all unique roller coasters is nearly impossible of a concept. Having one to four major ones is feasible.

That's upsetting, but change is good. Not sure GotG is the best replacement though.
