I am loving it. Only issue I've had so far with Crash 1 was those dumb shield guys on Native Fortress, for some reason jumping on their heads has real bad hit detection. Just got to island 3.

 

I love that you can retry bonus levels though, the N. Brio levels are disgustingly difficult, haha.

 

I miss games like this so much. I can't wait to play 2 and 3 as well.

 

Finally played my childhood nemesis Slippery Climb. I'm going to have trouble getting the red gem on that stage.

 

Finished Crash 1. Game HOLDS UP.

I'd like to see Spyro next

 

It's a short game, ha. Still have a lot to go in terms of gems/relics that will take me ages.

 

I'd like some CTR DLC and then Spyro, haha.

 

I never realized how much I needed this until now

 

Can't wait to get Crash when I get home!! My cousins are coming over to play; we grew up playing the originals together while being babysat on summer vaca.

Sidenote: seeing Baby Driver is making me wanna get GTA5 on PC and get chased in a red car.

 

This is actually true and a bit of a problem

 

The platforming on the first Crash game is fucking painful.

 

Bunch of good games on sale on the Xbox One at the moment in their Ultimate Game Sale.

 

Getting some of these gems/relics in Crash 1 are so difficult but so satisfying.

 

It's been so helpful for the colored gems too. I'm able to die in those and still get those.

 

Yeah I don't think I could be bothered doing some of these if the bonus levels counted, haha.

 

Just finished the first Crash. They knocked it out of the park with this remaster just as Naughty Dog did back in the 90s

 

I'm taking a break after spending like an hour trying to get the gold relic on The Road to Nowhere, there was just one bit at the end I kept dying on. Those bridge levels are awful for time trials.

I've never heard my wife swear as much as when we played Crash last night. We're loving it.

 

I think this statement is true to a certain extent but there are A LOT of factors to take into account and he even mentions them.

Nintendo is sort of the gateway drug into gaming. You get into those games and then you grow up a little and realize "Wow! Look at these other games like Uncharted, Halo, CoD, Forza, etc."

 

Ehhh that's maybe a little cliche. Breath Of The Wild, for example, is more of a "hardcore game" than any of the games you mentioned and I like Halo and Forza. Just because a game has a limited color pallet and violence and/or cars does not mean it is more grown up.
