Oh no, just the free show on Sunday the night before! I'd love to see State Champs and that Laura panel.

Same. Only big reason I want to go is that it'll be over by 7, it's free, and I can be back by 11 and work the next day.

 

Just saw that, I'm talking to the wife first thing tomorrow, I can drive or chip in for gas.

Are State Champs playing an hour?

 

No clue but I would assume they'd play at least an hour

 

I'm wondering if The LJG panel is indoors in the "theater" or if it's outdoors.

 

I'm assuming the whole thing is gonna be outdoors. Don't they have a stage set up outside? And then probably will have the panel off to the side under a tent or something?

 

I haven't been there since the renevations but I do think they do have a permant stage outside now. I just know that they usually do the panel in the theater and singings through the FYE / store section. I don't know if this will be the same or not. I guess we'll find out.

I agree. I hope that it's inside and I'll just line-up early for it. I also don't want to have to buy another book to get signed but I guess I do have to I will. Lol

I don't see why you couldn't bring your own. I'm sure she'd just be happy that you supported it and care enough to want her signature. I hope to get mine signed at their upcoming tour.

 

Because a lot of times these organized signings are done so to increase sales, requiring you to purchase the book through whatever retailer to gain access.

 

I'm going to just bring mine and if they want me to purchase another book I'll have to do so. I think I may end up buying another one regardless if my girlfriend wants one signed and to meet her. I also hope they allow pictures with because a lot of time at book signings they say "no outside items, no pictures". I think she'd be okay with all of it though and it's usually the author / manager / publisher that set the rules. Maybe they'll release more information on it before the date. Fingers crossed for that acoustic set you mentioned too. Haha.

Almost all book signings require you buy the book from there / them to get it signed. It's just like a meet and greet at Warped Tour that requires you but the album at (fill in the blank) tent to be able to meet the band.

 

I went to two signings Laura had when the book came out and both times she had books for sale but you were allowed to bring your own to be signed if you already had it. She also took time to speak to each person who came through, would personalize the signing and she also took photos with each person so I think if it's up to her then you should be fine but since this is an event for AP they might have more restrictions.

 

I figured Hotel Books was aiming a bit higher than this

 

My friend went to Laura's book tour back in November in Ann Arbor and got me a signed copy, so I'm good on that. I'd love to get my copy of Transgender Dysphoria Blues signed though.

 

I've never even heard those other two names before
