I just want him to make another record like Fear Fun

 

Honeybear is way better tho

 

But I mean how can you really fault someone for wanting to make a record about the state of the world in 2017, whether you like the album or not?

I don't fault him for that. I fault him for it being a lousy record.

 

That doesn't make it over rated lol. The ratio of people who complain about it to people who actually like it's about 5:1 from what I've seen

 

On this site especially you're probably right about that. I dunno, it's something a decent amount of people seem to really like a whole lot that is just terrible to my ears. To me that makes it overrated. Whatever though, agree to disagree.

I respect both Josh and Fleet Foxes for making super dense records that are pretty uncompromising in their vision. I just have trouble getting through the Father John Misty LP.

For me, that's exactly why ATP stuck...I've loved their entire discography and they've been a favorite band of mine for years, but ATP speaks to that nostalgic acceptance that my 20's are over, have a family now...all that stuff.

 

I'm not gonna rerank but Young Thug Vince Staples and Lorde would bump three of mine out

 

Yeah, I just recently listened to the Vince Staples album and it definitely belongs somewhere in my top ten. Maybe Lorde too. I also have a ton of shit to catch up on so my current list might not even be close to what it would normally be.
