Yoshi's Island is the one where you play Yoshi carrying a baby Mario on his back am I right? Maybe it's a little dated but that game was crazy fun when I was younger. idk what you guys were playing.

Atari Vault (more than 100 Atari games) is on sale for 3.99$ on Steam today because of the 45th anniversary of Atari. I don't know how the emulation is but some of these games are still great. Pong alone is worth it.

 

I think this one is the same as the GBA one, no? The naming of those GBA ports was really confusing.

Not so much downgraded, but the color pallet is more saturated to be more visible on the lightless screen, the image is cropped to fit the display, and there were workarounds to bypass the Super FX chip in favor of using onboard RAM. There are bonus levels and stuff so in terms of content it's kinda the definitive edition, but the original is much prettier.

The more I hear about this dude and this game, the more disgusted I get. Microsoft needs to do a better job of disavowing this crap.

 

That last thing is what I mean: it's less pretty. Didn't they also change the camera, as in you see less of the level at any given time?

 

Hhhmm, other than cropping it down, I'm not sure.

Also, if we're gonna hate on a Yoshi's Island game, hate on Yoshi's Island DS. It had some cool ideas... namely playing as baby Donkey Kong and Baby Wario, but it was goddamn rage-inducing to 100%

 

Yeah that one sucked. Woolly World is pretty nice.

 

I had forgotten about Baby Wario, why do we get fuckin' baby Rosalina but they never brought back Baby Wario. Every Mario game needs more Wario, even in baby form.

Also checking up on if Baby Wario showed up in any other games I forgot about (he doesn't), there's this "At the end of the game, it is revealed that Baby Wario, like Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, Baby Bowser, Baby Donkey Kong, Baby Beach, and Baby Yoshi, is one of the seven star children." Mario plot really gets into some Kingdom Hearts shit.

 

I love love love Wooly World, such a good co-op game, other than spending 50% of it accidentally swallowing your partner.
