Poor Dana

 

Not fair to smackdown, they need that too

 

Random but have we ever had a female participate in this thread? Don't remember that ever happening but interesting

 

See, I don't know about that. The Smackdown roster is kind of fine. They are having the same issue with pushes, but for what they are, they should be functioning well enough. They could definitely use another piece, but I think Asuka is a main event winner. Given, they are using Smackdown as a secondary developmental, its likely where she ends up first. I think if they keep up her streak, she'd be great as a floater who just beats the snot out of everyone on both shows.

Not that I can recall.

 

Brand split fucked it all up. Shoulda kept em all on Raw.

 

Doing that alienates an entire demographic away from one show. I you want to put girls in seats, you have to have Becky and Bayley on two different shows.

 

they couldnt NOT have women on both brands. there was no way around it

(cough dont do brand split in the first place)

 

I have a love hate relationship with the brand split and most of it has to do with the THIRD FUCKING FEUD between Dean and Miz in less than two years.

 

If smackdown is for development then why are Nia and Dana on raw?

 

I don't care about demographics lol.

It sucks how much WWE does.

Nia works. She is fine. They needed a big heel, and she is 1000X better than Tamina. They haven't really used her correctly, until maybe last night. They should definitely have her go back to squashing jobbers.

Dana is

 

the problem with Nia is that she's not very interesting.

 

Dana is better as a heel. I've said it before but Emma's injury took away her security blanket and she hasn't been right since. She wasn't terrible in NXT but she completely bombed once she was with Charlotte.

 

Charlotte is kind of a vacuum. She's really good at what she does, but she crushes everyone else's momentum.

 

i thought Dana with Charlotte was fine, as the learning stooge...but it's pretty clear that a year later, Dana would've benefitted a LOT more from staying in NxT and being a top 3 body at this point.

She and Apollo Crews are the ultimate examples of people that should've had a "good run" in NxT

 

This is basically what they are doing with Alexa. And she should be beating Nia at GBOF to further put her over. And only when Sasha/Bayley is ready to go as a feud does Alexa lose.

Its basically what is working for 205 live, except they make too many midcard babyfaces eat pins week to week.

Completely agree with these.

This is the real question. Tamina (who is awful and always will be) should be on RAW eating pins and Nia should be on Smackdown as the welcoming committee's muscle, building her character.

 

It would be refreshing if they could find a way to make her a face somehow. I feel like there's a story they could tell where she is bullied for not having the typical "WWE diva" look and eventually overcome that. But of course, since she's bigger she has to be the heel because "it wouldn't be believable for a smaller woman to be dominant against her"

I just think her face is too kind to be a heel and she doesn't look mean.
