Baseball is random. There is no better explanation than that. Sort of like how the guy promoted to fill in for Mike Trout has been surprisenly really good.

 

He could always hit dingers but he was basically a platoon hitter because he is a below average hitter against lefties. Also they said on EW that according to one of the stat sites (BP, BRef, or FG) he has faced the 3rd worse pitching since his move to the braves so it may just be small sample size and feasting on terrible pitching.

 

My work is allowing us to wear our favorite baseball team stuff today and I'm going all out.

I got the shirt, jersey, hat and I even brought out my la lanyard.

In few days bumgarner is going to start pitching with the triple a team for rehab.

I'm heated because of course it's right after I see them.

 

I got some not really insider info but some scouts were sitting next to me at this game.

They just left and it's only the 4th inning.

So the Astros minor league team has a poll up now for the top 5 names submitted to change the name to when they open the new stadium here in Fayetteville in two years. Literally no one likes them. The backlash is hilarious on social media here.

Woodpeckers, Wood Dogs (we already have a Swampdogs college summer ball team here), Fat Backs, Fly Traps and Jumpers (based off the 82nd Airborne based here).

So. Bad.

They did that with the Hartford CT team, pretty sure they were all terrible too lol
