  1. I just watched it last night and felt the exact same way. I enjoyed Covenant, but I was pleasantly surprised that Life actually scared me, which doesn't happen too often anymore. I would definitely recommend it, especially to any Alien fans who had reservations because of the plot similarities.

And they added Don't Breathe to my on demand. With this, and Get Out it's been a great weekend.

    Get Out.

Loved it. only thing was I had kinda hoped to see what became of Stanfield's character, but in the end it doesn't matter .

    Don't Breathe was cool.

Except the attempted artificial insemination scene. Also kinda a continuity error that he cut a hole in her pants, but in the scene with the dog in the car it's not there.

honestly i did not like it much at all. it started out intelligent, then kind of wore down its limited premise. the thing that happens at the 2/3 mark - you know what i'm talking about - just shifts it from "trying to be intelligent" to "tasteless" and while I love tasteless films, i don't want them to pretend to be smarter than they are.

It's hard for me to imagine that that was the dude directing The Evil Dead a year prior

"The thing that happens" literally flipped my opinion of the entire film, which I had been enjoying up to that point.

I found a comment on the trailer by someone asking where to see the movie and he told them to email him, so I'm hoping that means he'll let you purchase it directly from him. I just shot him an email.

yeah, I saw that too. was gonna say you could try that but it seemed like kind of a lot to expect of someone so I decided against it haha. he seems like a guy who actually gives a shit about what he's doing and you've taken a genuine interest in it, so I'm sure he'll be receptive. might have to send him one today.
