I have to go home right now and watch Purple Rain for the next 24 hours.

My fucking heart just died.

 

I cant believe this. I'm so upset. Him and Bowie both seemed immortal.

 

I think everyone in my office just found out at once, no one's working.

We've lost way too many legends already this year.

Productivity has grinded to a halt here as well.

You know I've never watched the Purple Rain movie, just listened to the album. Going to have to rectify that this weekend.

 

I have @cshadows2887 to thank for getting into him years and years ago. Truly an icon. I still haven't stopped spinning Bowie records and am reeling from that, didn't expect another legend like this to go so soon. So much important material.

I bought my fiance Purple Rain for Christmas as joke. Whenever a Prince song came on she somehow knew all the words, so I'd joke that he was her favorite artist. Never got around to watching it
