Best case for me is Paramore playing the stage next to Jawbreaker so I can work my way up and then go watch Jawbreaker towards the railing between the two stages. That's what I did for Morrissey after Death Cab last year and it worked pretty well. But that's because I'm only casually interested in Jawbreaker to be a part of the fun.

Friday will probably be my lightest day I the history of going to RF, with only New Order and The Hotelier as absolute must-sees. However the other two days are super stacked and I CANNOT WAIT for Sunday.

Paramore from the railing to not move for jawbreaker is definitely the move for Sunday.

Anyone got recs of bands I should check out given my schedule? There's a bunch that aren't a priority but would happily see if time permitted (Pennywise, Bosstones, etc.), but there's still a bit I don't know of.

You're probably already familiar, but if not? Mad Caddies or the Flatliners might be up your alley, given that you have the ska bands and some of that "throaty/gruff vocal" mid-tempo punk rock stuff listed (respectively).

I can't recommend the smith street band enough, basically an Australian version of the menzingers.

What @alkalinexandy said, i don't see how you wouldn't dig the Flatliners. Great punk rock in the vein of the Chamberlain Waits era Menz (new album is "mature" though in the same way that After The Party is). Also Smith Street Band could be another one to get at on Saturday - they've toured with quite a few bands in our scene (Hard Girls, The Menz, supposed to with Restorations a few years back but a family emergency put it on hold).

I love MIA too but that might run up against the other headliners on Sunday.

Someone in the tour rumor forum just said Fall Out Boy is playing Chicago House of Blues on 9/16
No idea if it's true but that would be great during Riot weekend

Edit: Missed their tweet about it. Tickets on sale next week!

I wonder what time the show is though? Will it work as an aftershow?

I honestly got so excited last night, but I didn't even think about this. It seems really weird they would not take this into consideration, but I guess I'll just have to hope for better luck on whatever round 2 of this is.

Damn I would 100% need to know what they were playing before I decided if I was going to go to that

If they pulled a TBS and did the whole album in full that would ruin my entire weekend

Yo I desperately wanna go to this but no one is down to travel with me and I'm not gonna solo trip a whole weekend to Chicago. Fuck.

Cool adds, but neither record is particularly exciting to me. I'm sure others (not necessarily in this thread) will be completely stoked about both Danzig and Wu-Tang, though!

    So incredibly pumped for Danzig.

I would have enjoyed Wu Tang Clans set either way so I'm not that pumped but it is pretty cool

So next will be aftershows, I'm assuming not until early August, but things are coming quicker this year so maybe mid July and then set times sometime in mid August
