I'm....not quite sure. It is VERY narrative heavy. And the MOST different than any other Manchester song I've ever heard. About 5:30 long. Not a huge fan of the in between narrative parts. But the different choruses are cool. Not sure this was a great choice for a single, but maybe they either wanted to show how different the album was, show off the concept, or play off the Daniels video

This will be the most polarizing song I think they've ever released and may end up being one of my least favorite MO songs. But my least favorite MO songs are still great songs, so nothing to really worry about

 

eh. that probably goes to leaky breaks. As a follower since the beginning, the non-colly strings/river closer curveball was a weird adjustment.

EDIT: didn't need to include 'as a follower since the beginning.' I sounded like a pretentious ass.

 

The most polarizing MO song is every song on Cope.

How do you get it off of iTunes Austrailia? Or is it out there in other places too?

 

I definitely feel this will make way more sense in the context of the record. But it's got a folkish/story teller type vibe with some really beautiful moments. I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. I would expect this thread to be pretty split on this song, I think long time Fans will be disappointed but I think this is the type of song that could also open them up to a new audience.
