I'm not hugely knowledgeable on this but it seems like a decent statement to me. Doesn't victim blame, addresses the issue, apologises for the late timing and he's out of the bands until he sorts his shit out, at which point I presume it's kind of a last chance thing. Am I incorrect cause I'm happy to have someone who knows more explain why :)

 

the only problem I see is that they waited so long to do it. but it's truly better than most I've seen.

willing to bet RFC donates some of the record preorders to charity too

They just sound like Real Estate now. I wish it was poppier (the mix) and had some element to make it stand out. Still, it's a solid enough song.

Edit: Not usually the biggest fan of dangling transitions at the end of songs, but in this case I like that they kept it in the single version. Keeping me on the hook!

 

Song sounds really good, almost happier sounding(?)(soundwise) than PV but in the same vein

 

I don't know how much I like this new song, it's kinda boring to me, especially as the opener of the record.

And yet.... I've listened to it four times basically back to back.

 

Almost thought it was Separation No. 2 by Caspian at the start there

i dont think it does sound like real estate, but sounding like them isnt a bad thing honestly. real estates newest album was pretty boring though, outside of 2 songs maybe.

 

i really liked real estate's album, their second best after days imo

 

it was really boring to me outside of the singles. what are some of the highlights for you? might go back and revisit it.

 

i really like the 7 minute song in the middle of the record, that song jams

but yeah in mind is definitely a mood record, no real push to the songs but the vibe it brings is fantastic.

i like the hoops record that came out this year a lot more though, sort of reminds me of wild nothing a lot (which is prob my fav dreamy jangle pop band)

 

PV is a perfect summer album. I wish they would have built onto that sound and change it up but the new song sounds like a PV b-side

 

The song is pretty good, although I was hoping it would be an expansion of the PV sound rather than part 2 of it, if that makes sense.

 

i feel like this song is a bit different though. different vibes and guitar sounds. we'll see the rest but i definitely hear some diversity in this song
