Stopped into Best Buy today to check out the new 10.5 iPad - and yeah people aren't kidding, the screen looks unreal. I just bought a 9.7" Pro so I won't be getting the 10.5, but if you have held out this long or are looking to replace an old air or earlier - go check it out, the screen quality is nuts.

I don't know how they did it, but I think the quality jump is like comparing the difference between the Air 2 and the 9.7 Pro.

 

The 10.5 makes me want to sell my 2015 MPB and live the iPad only life like Federico Viticci.

 

That's the rout that I'm kind of wanting to take lol

 

With iOS 11 it's completely doable I think. My only reason for not doing it would be taking college courses online right now. But I'd love to ditch the MPB sooner or later

 

My friend cancelled his Apple Music that I was a part of so I just got my own; any reason why I can't add music to my library/download to my phone? I thought I just had to turn on iCloud Music Library.

I got the Airpods today. Had to hunt all over town for somewhere with them in stock. Heading down to London on a 4 hour train, so looking forward to trying them out then.

I have bought into the whole Apple ecosystem gradually with a iphone, macbook, appletv and airpods. But I am still struggling to buy in to the apple watch. Although, I have went from firmly not interested to now being curious.

 

My AirPods should be coming in tomorrow hopefully. I'm so nervous about them because I didn't try any on beforehand but someone mentioned they were up on Best Buy and I bit the bullet. I know if they fit I will love them

 

I just got a watch last week and it's so damn cool. Best things so far being the exercise tracking and not having to pull out my phone for every text/notification I get. And it's so customizable. I'm finding new stuff every day.

 

I've tried fitbits, Android Wear, Microsoft Band - but the Apple Watch is the only one I have actually enjoyed wearing / using. It isn't life changing by any means, but it is easy to set up (nearly lost my shit setting up a Fossil Q Founder Android Wear watch a few months back) and I'm always finding little things that make life easier.

Tap and pay on the Watch feels like you are living in the future and is exactly what Apple Pay was meant for. The little tap-taps when using Apple Maps to navigate is amazing - I'm one of those who tends to go on auto pilot and miss exits, this gives you suitable feedback to know you should be getting into the exit lane. And now that they are really shifting their focus to fitness, that stuff is getting better every update.

 

The Apple Watch definitely isn't necessary or life changing. But I do notice that if I forget to put it on one day then I miss wearing it the whole day lol

 

Do you all use Apple Photos or something else like Google Photos or Dropbox?

All of my stuff is already in Google Photos because I used Android a lot in the past and that is also what my wife uses.

I tried Apple Photos again last month and just found the whole interface to be a little confusing and making shared albums is still a lot easier on Google Photos.

 

I really wish Apple Music had it's own separate app on macOS.

 

That would make me so happy.

 

It feels so ridiculously buried in iTunes being that it's essentially the only thing I use iTunes for anymore...

 

I'm trying to determine if I even need iTunes Match anymore with an Apple Music subscription. Does anyone else still use both of these services?

 

I don't think you do. As far as I can tell with an Apple Music subscription you can still upload your own files to the cloud and have them sync across your devices.

 

That's what I was seeing, and and kind of questioned why I had it to begin with, because I think I got Match when Apple Music started rolling out. Ha sad that I don't remember.

 

Now have a $99 annual subscription option for Apple Music.

 

My 3 year old 5S was really starting to crap out on me so I just picked up a 64GB 6S Plus for only $10 a month and I can upgrade when the 8s/whatever next years is so I'm good for now.

 

I should have done this months ago

For anyone that used flux do you think the night shift on macOS works just as well or better?
