Corey's a great storyteller, and Mauro added an energy and big-fight feel to matches.

Cole calling the 10:30pm match each week on RAW feels like he's being held hostage

 

My issue with cole, even in the beginning, was that he's a 7/10 type announcer. He's fine. He's definitely competent, he's not garbage, and does a more than adqeuite job of doing the basics of his job. But i think the WWE can do better than that..and they have in the past. That's my fear with Tom Phillips too.

I think of it like sports. The home run call or the "big play" call, should be a guy that gets you really excited and Cole/Phillps don't do that.

I'm also a big Gus Johnson fan in sports haha (why i liked Mauro)

 

You straight up should only have 2 people announcing teams. WHY THREE. WHY.

 

I brought up this last weekend with a few friends about how the quickest change that will be noticed when Vince is gone will be the commentary. He's always micromanaging it and in-ear every possible second.

 

Exact same for me. I'll take the occasional random pop culture reference if it gets me the epic call

Literally my least favorite thing about WWE is how the commentators put on that wincing tone whenever they're mid sentence and someone gets hit by like anything at all. Like they feel it at the desk. So fucking cheesy. Tom Phillips is the worst offender by a mile. Like, Tom, if you can't tell me to pay for WWE Network without verbally flinching at Dean's pillow punches, go to hell.

Just make him a damn heel. People won't cheer. He looks like he could easily pull it off

 

I keep feeling like he's gonna go that way and then he stops short, it's so frustrating.

piggy-backing off of our earlier discussion of terrible Vince decisions, we're gonna get a PPV where two former teammates square off, where Brock defends his managers honor after a vicious attack, where Miz/Dean continue a half year feud, and where Roman/Braun potentially settle another long-running feud.

And it'll be called Great Balls of Fire...not Bad Blood

That theme works great for Demon Finn with the slow start though.
