Excitement is overwhelming at this point. My favorite weekend of the year.

Also I get in sometime tomorrow around 5 or so and might have some time to kill if you wanna snag a coffee or beer or whatever!

 

Since 2012! And absolutely, I'm getting dinner with the Pinny Arcade community (the PA/PAX pins) at 7 so I'll have a couple hours to kill after work. I'd be down to chill at Harpoon or anywhere else in that area.

 

Harpoon is my favorite microbrew! Good guys as well. Lived on the north shore in Danvers for 5 years and loved every second of it. Miss Boston so much.

 

I actually went to high school in Danvers so I'm very familiar with the north shore haha, lived in the greater Boston area my whole life.

 

destiny isn't too bad if you're into sci-fi, even though bungie is pretty focused on Sony right now for that game, i can only assume that the ps4 is getting the best treatment from the deal

 

Wait for PS4.5 or XBOX1.5 this fall.

 

I worked in Salem at North Shore Medical Center. Salem is such a great place as well and LOVED Salem Beer Works. Almost every weekend hanging out there.

 

Pax East sounds like a fun time... Pax South wasn't the greatest when I went last year, giant bomb crew skipped out this year so I didn't bother to go since it's so games lite.

Yeah from what I can tell South is kinda "PAX-lite" since it's still new and pretty small. Much chiller compared to the insanity that is East. But honestly video games are such a small component of PAX for me -- I love the panels, tabletop, collecting pins, and just hanging out with everyone and taking it all in. Even the community events outside of PAX proper contribute a lot to the show as well.

Definitely make the trip if you ever have a chance to, so worth it!

 

Next year I'm definitely going to try and go to MAG Fest either in place of or in addition to PAX East. Anyone ever been? It'd be kind of a trip for me but I've heard it's smaller, a lot more chill and really fun. Also wanna make it out to AGDQ sometime lol

 

Finished up my 1st playthrough of Ratchet & Clank. Plan to start Challenge Mode playthrough tonight. Pretty annoyed at myself for not using the Groovitron at the end on Captain Qwark. Got most trophies I possibly could at this point.

 

This makes me wonder if using the hologuise would cause any hilarity. Hmmm. Too late now though.

 

The fact that the Groovitron works on Quark and Nefarious is hysterical to me.

 

Didn't think of that, sounds like it might! It's weird that they'll let you go back to the Nefarious boss battle but not to Qwark's before that, but I guess i'll just have to play again!(Not that i'm complaining.

 

I hate myself for reading those spoilers. God damn Europe not getting the game for an extra week...

 

Mirror's Edge Catalyst Delayed Again - IGN

 

Not a big deal for me. Rumors that Horizon is delayed into 2017 as well.

Finished Quantum Break last night. Beat boss bottle on first try that time. SO DAMN GOOD.

Didn't play it but watched a walkthrough and i didn't understand the story much but i think the time travel stuff really confuses me.

 

I love time travel and had just a blast with it. 9/10 for me. Will probably end up top of my list this year. Thought their approach to time travel is a very "grounded" approach, as much as it can be. Like the way the did it.

 

Metro 2033 is disappointing so far.

 

I wish games wouldn't keep getting unrealistic release dates. I'm so tired of delays being frequent gaming news.
