All my serious girlfriends have been pretty big brand new fans. I'm dating a girl now that had never heard of them (she's older and was into more 90s pop punk/music) but now shes a pretty decent fan.

My Fiancee's favorite bands are Brand New, Manchester Orchestra, Julien Baker, Hotelier, and Pinegrove. it is nice to share music with your significant other but she also loves country and I don't so there's that, can't agree on everything i suppose!

Husband and I met at Bamboozle (via AP.net, we knew of each other prior despite him posting mostly in the sports forum back then). Started dating that week, after having spent the entire weekend together since we have such similar taste in music (we both ditched our friends at that boozle to see The Hush Sound instead of Muse).

Been together over 10 years and expecting baby #1 in September! (Not naming him after a BN member/song though, unfortunately!)

Me and wife knew each other since Jr High but we became friends and bonded over a shared love of Brand New and Manchester Orchestra. We dated forever and got married three years ago. Her favorite bands are Manchester Orchestra, Brand New and The National.

This guy I dated in college made fun of me for liking Brand New so much (his last girlfriend loved them too, I think he was still bitter), he worked at a music store on long island and would always text me after one of them came in to buy strings or whatever to be like "Jesse Lacey was just in here and he was such a dick" and was just an asshat about me liking them in general...

Fast forward to now, apparently he ~*loves*~ Brand New. Dunno if liking BN is a prerequisite for me dating someone, but after that, hating them is for sure a dealbreaker!

 

I got my girlfriend into Brand New right before we started dating and now she has been to 3 out of the 4 Brand New shows I've been to. We agree on pretty much everything in regards to music, which is very nice.

 

My previous two serious relationship exes were die hard Brand New fans. My fiancee doesn't really know/listen to them. So I guess it goes both ways. Haha

 

Alright so any women here Brand New fans from Orange, CA?? it seems like this is the only way to find the real deal!

 

So Brand New is making all their fans fall in love with each other and have kids so that there is a new generation of brand new die hards and then just releasing limited edition shirts and making bank the rest of their lives

 

My girlfriend and I rarely sync up with music tastes. The one band we don't argue about is Brand New. Seem them twice with her.

I just realized we didn't play one single BN song at our wedding! I guess that's not surprising though considering their discography haha.

 

We are playing brand new and Manchester orchestra at our wedding, along with a few other "scene" things. Too important to us to ignore it, regardless if people are bored during those songs ha. We toyed with the idea of sound like an emo half hour or something but Idk seemed weird
