lol you been calling me out way too much lately

Stir Fry is so great. I like chicken/steak, eggs, onions, red peppers, jalapeños, mushrooms, brown rice.

Jambalaya is also fantastic. Preferably steak and shrimp.

 

Having a chicken salad from Zaxby's for lunch. Pretty ambivalent about it, but my girlfriend and grandma are both really excited about theirs.

 

My dad made Beijing-style pork chops for dinner last night, it's essentially the superior version of "sweet and sour" pork.

 

Haha. I didn't even realize I was specifically calling you out. What other crazy thing did you say?

 

This is a good recipe, although my dad does it differently.

 

I'm currently sitting across from a coworker who is eating cereal with crushed Doritos on top. I..eww.

No, but my girlfriend is always trying to get me to go. I hear it's actually pretty good. I'll cave and try it one of these days.

 

The key to Genghis Grill is putting the veggies on the bottom and the meat on top. You can fit so much more in the bowl. @angrycandy @suicidesaints

 

@Mr. Serotonin Dude, don't even try to tell me how to build a bowl at Ghegis. Haha. I've perfected the art to the point that it's almost embarrassing. You are correct though, veggies first, meat on top. Take the dried hot peppers and use them to build a wall around the outside. I've built bowls so big that they have to bring it in two separate dishes to get it to fit.

 

Can't drink alcohol with food. The two do not go hand in hand.

Eating one food on your plate at a time isn't weird at all, if you think it's weird, you're a nerd.

 

Wait, they let you bring 2 separate dishes? Or do you have to pay for 2 dishes then?

 

Yep. I feel really similarly about people who put extra ingredients on their Reubens. or substituting or removing.
swiss, kraut, corned beef, and Russian dressing on rye. no more / no less.

 

I am a little nerdy

 

I used to go all the time and they just had one size bowl they'd give you and you could load it up once for one cost, or pay a little more and go unlimited times. They've changed it now to where you choose a size (small, medium, large) and they give you a metal bowl to put all the raw ingredients in. I usually go medium. You can load it up to your heart's content as long as it's in the metal bowl. Once they cook it, they'll put it into a plastic/ceramic bowl. If it doesn't all fit in one of these bowls, they will split it into 2 bowls. You only get charged for the number of metal bowls you start out with.

edit: also, you get to add noodles or pasta AFTER you've already loaded up the metal bowl, so this often times puts it over the limit of one plastic/ceramic bowl.

 

I caught up on this thread while eating lunch and now I want to have lunch part 2.

 

Whenever I go out to eat I usually have water or beer. Occasionally I'll have unsweet tea.

When I go to a drive through I get water, unless I order a combo in which case I get either root beer or tea depending on how guilty I'm feeling

 

Its all about the unsweetened Ice tea

 

Ew gross. Unsweetened tea is disgusting.

 

I don't like unsweetened tea. Sweet tea is cool but I rarely drink it, because y'know, it's fucking awful for you and all.

 

It's a pretty mild taste imo and has caffeine so bonus
