Hold up. I've never played 2 but I was under the impression the first one was better.

 

On Ubisoft:

Starting with Miyamoto is a power move. It was a really nice and heartfelt moment I think. The game looks pretty damn cool too. I'm definitely going to play it.

Assassin's Creed looks really good to me. I'm ready. Kind of a weird way to show gameplay though, haha. It's weird to me that the media acts like AC has something to prove as if Syndicate wasn't amazing.

The Crew was a cool idea with mediocre gameplay. I have hope this one'll be better, but putting all that other stuff in could also be a bad sign. I could definitely go for some off road dirt bike action so I hope it'll be cool. What's with the uncharismatic protagonists in this series though? Also, watching this stuff kind of makes me want to play GTAV again, haha.

South Park is going to be amazing. The first one was so good. I love (as in hate) how people that haven't watched South Park in forever have so many opinions on South Park by the way.

The Transference trailer was cool. No idea what it is though, haha.

FUCKING PIRATES AGAIN? How did this happen? How did we end up in a pirate boom? The trailer was pretty though and the gameplay looked very pretty too. If it is what a think it is - a mid between Black Flag ship combat and For Honor (great game), they're probably golden, but I really did not like the ship combat in Black Flag. Also, a message for all publishers: please no more "haunting covers" of bad pop songs, that stuff is so corny and bad and out of touch.

That South Park mobile game actually looks awesome. Great surprise.

Starlink could be good but I'm always skeptical when it comes to Toys 2 Life. It has a cool look though. I also like that Ubisoft is coming through for Nintendo.

Steep is cool as fuck and is doing well for Ubisoft. I'm glad they are turning this game into such a platform and this expansion is a cool addition to the game. The fact the the video game media is belittling this game so often just makes them seem out of touch.

Far Cry looks so damn good o_O I hope this is enhanced on Xbox One X and I hope the shooting has gotten better. Not sure I liked that guys intro however. Also this game might be goofier than people expect.

Beyond Good And Evil 2 looks amazing (the art and so on, I know there was no gameplay). Wow. What they are saying sounds amazing too. Shoutout to Ubisoft for funding something like this. A really heartfelt moment here too.

I can't believe I'm saying this about an Ubisoft e3 press conference, but not only was this a good conference, it was also by far the most genuine and heartfelt one so far. Also, no corny influencers or fake eSports! I really hope Ubisoft will manage to fight off Vivendi because the video game industry needs this Ubisoft.

Do you mean 2 which the original developer is making or the prequel which Square showed at Microsoft?

 

People hate Steep and it's so weird. It was like a dream game for me. The video game public at large thinking it's terrible because it didn't do blockbuster sales bums me out (mostly because it means we're not getting a sequel). I'd change very little about the gameplay.

 

It was profitable for Ubisoft and it's getting a big expansion which they even showed on stage so I'm sure they think it is a success. The game press can just be incredibly out of touch sometimes and a "realistic" winter sport game is clearly out of their wheelhouse so they clown it (many of them do the same with big sports games). If it wasn't made by Ubisoft they'd probably have ignored it completely. By the way, I want to make it clear that I'm not talking about writers that actually played the game and have real criticism.

Decided to look deeper into the specs of the Xbox One X due to my evident lack of knowledge yesterday and sounds pretty advanced. Liquid cooling, a 1TB hard drive standard (so twice what I have now), will have faster loading times (slow loading times have become a bigger issue lately so that is good to see) and further horizons. Have to say I am excited for it.

 

Short break from E3 to talk about other games.

Monument Valley 2 is so good. I highly recommend this series to pretty much anyone on earth. I hate how people (not this thread!) kind of take a step back when I mention it's only available on mobile - like anything on mobile is automatically bad.

It's so wonderful and relaxing and just beautiful and I always wished more people played it.

I guess if I were to pick my favorite mobile games (or games I like to play on mobile) I'd go with Monument Valley, Mini Metro and Human Resource Machine.

Oh yeah, thanks for reminding. I've heard good things. I'll check it out after I finish MV2.

So many wow moments, pretty much every time the architecture shifts.

 

The game does so many cool, new and unique things compared to the first. I was worried that they had stretched the formula out as much as they could with the DLC (even though I was still very excited for more) but there is so much here that's surprised me. Love it.

 

I'm not going to have any spare time in September and October as I have just realised there are several games out in those two months that I want to play and there are two dates where two games are out on the same day.

Project Cars 2 is out on the 22nd September.

Forza Motorsport 7 though released October 3rd I will be able to get early thanks to the pre-order which means that will clash with Cuphead on the 29th September.

South Park: The Fractured but Whole is out on the 17th October.

Then both Assassin's Creed: Origins and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus are out on the 27th October.

I hate it when games I want are all crammed together, especially considering summer is devoid of any games I am bothered about. Never mind that those games are the only ones I know about while November and December could still hold more surprises, thank fuck Far Cry 5 isn't out till next year.
