  5. i was only commenting on the fact that they named it covfefe, not the law itself. if you're going to ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ me in reaction to something i didn't say, i'm going to point out that i didn't say it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  6. Oh, I think it’ll be extremely close. I am just saying that we’ve seen swings (even where candidates are losing) of margins far beyond what one would usually expect. (e.g. Normally losing by 20+ and it’s a 4-6pt race or something. Those 14 pt swings are huge gains. In other races, 1/4th of that kind of pick up for a candidate would be seen as extraordinary “win.")

  10. Heh.

To use that line of logic, Macron’s center-left/right-ish won, and has the power, too. I can’t find the tweet at the moment, but the one about how everyone is trying to use foreign elections for a proxy of what could happen in America or to bolster their own argument for their personal policy preference is kinda weird. The "see we should do what X did abroad” argument doesn’t really work unless there’s applicable parts in our government, specifically in regard to state governments and congress. And there’s not many places for a 1 to 1 comparison. Especially with the voter suppression and gerrymandering in specific states.

All you had to do was move to the right, literally kill a mentally disabled man for political reasons, throw a million people into poverty here in the states and cause instability elsewhere for millions of people, including murdering civilians. Good job on winning, guys. :ok:

  14. The OMG Julius Caesar crowd seemed oddly silent when this same play happened 5 years ago. Curious if they were pissed about the Obama bit in Kingsmen too?

Also, hot take ... Julius Caesar is my least favorite Shakespeare.

Well, I wasn't looking for congratulations on winning anything, just more or less wondering why the folks in glass houses are throwing stones.

But otherwise, super great job of cherry picking:ok:

imo if the murder of millions can be cherry picked out of the things you've done, you're not doing a great job

Even the language "murder of millions" is overly simplified and ignores complexities of governing and what public pressure is pushing for. In other words, even if I agree with your premise, the simplistic and nuance lacking way in which it is presented deserves to be called out. I.e., pretending either 1. no good has come or 2. it all gets cancelled out by the bad.

As some of the discussions here seem to prove, what matters more, or less, seems to vary---much more so on the left than the right in any case.

I'm unaware of the context of this quote; can you explain what you're referring to for my own ignorance? Who killed a mentally disabled man?
