I wouldn't even say they are good. They're like, as good as musicians as you could be while still just putting out bad music.

In Rainbows is the only Radiohead album I like front to back. I like about half of each of all the rest of their albums.

I think Isaac Brock is a better lyricist than Thom. And MM's music, albeit not as technical, is much warmer and happier to listen to. Radiohead is everything south of happy.

I immediately sang this in my head with the stutter and now I might never sleep

They have some of the best songs just based around a girl's name, Maureen, Denise, Barbara H, Julie, Stacy's Mom of course, I guess Joe Rey too

Chili Peppers are hit or miss, but their hit compilations and Californication (the album) are timeless. When I think about driving to California, they're always part of the soundtrack.

    No Fun. Not Ever.

If I didn't hear another Chili Peppers song for the rest of my life, then I lived a good life.

I love this post even more because there's a photo of Tom Waits right next to it.

I'm not sure whether this opinion would be considered unpopular or not, 21+ shows are so much better than all ages shows. I saw Chon and Tera Melos last night at an all-ages show last night, and it was the worst crowd I've been a part of since I moved to Chicago. Ugh. Maybe I've just become bitter and old now?

I think Modest Mouse is pretty good...but I saw them live and almost left early. Such a boring show.

it's more about the band than the ages of the people
you got a bunch of djent kids of course it was going to be bad, one of the worst crowds i've ever seen was animals as leaders opening up for thrice lol

Now that I've had my coffee this morning and can think, it's definitely the band and their fans versus the fact it was an all ages show. Djent kids are the worst. I'm still in disbelief that they were actually moshing to Chon lol.

A friend of mine told me to listen to Chon's first album and I regretted it halfway through. It is not good and not memorable whatsoever

It's great background noise when I'm at work or doing things around my apartment, but nothing I'd actively listen to at this point. It's like the instrumental rock equivalent of /r/iam14andthisisdeep

Lol I'd rather have Kid A than the entire National discography (I can also say that about Ok Computer, In Rainbows, and Amnesiac)

Out of all of the instrumental math rock bands I've seen live, I will agree that Chon has been the most boring.

  23. Speaking of math rock and 2007, Maps And Atlases blew my goddamn mind when I was younger. My unpopular opinion is that their indie rock efforts later down the road did not suit them as well.
