You would think if radio stations are saying it's coming out on the 28th blink would give an official announcement

I still think the whole, radio DJs hyping it up in cryptic or blatant, 'I've Heard it' tweets is weird. Its like they don't know what an NDA is.

I always take the "new song sounds like a mix of _____ and _____" comments with a grain of salt. You never know what aspects they are referring too, and it's just a person's opinion anyways. We could hear the new song and be totally confused how anyone could think "Adam's Song" mixed with "Stay Together for the Kids".

Awesome! If they are to bring back elements from the pre-untitled days, those are exactly the songs they should look back on.

    I am a haunted house. I'm superstitious.

Both Adam's Song and STTFTK have standout guitar riffs in their intros. It would be awesome to have a very recognizable riff like those again opening a blink song.

  9. Amen! No more "cinematic landscapes." More riffs that'll make kids want to pick up a guitar!

Exactly! Plus, we all know Matt is up for opening songs like that every once in a while:

Given Tom's attitude toward touring and how it clearly seemed to be a negative emotional drain on him, I'll sympathize with him to an extent and be happy for him that he's more in control of what he's doing artistically. That being said, I am not at all interested in anything he's doing artistically now and will always miss him with blink.

Also the +44 album is real solid. There are weak spots and lulls but it's maybe the most Mark has ever pushed himself lyrically and I love a handful of songs on there. I'll still mourn for the Mark/Travis/Carol Heller lineup though, the stuff they worked on together was a lot more up my alley than the stuff those other two guitarists brought to the table.

    Bored To Death

I would be amazed if the first single isn't an uptempo catchy song. If that tweet is to be believed anyway. I love those songs though. I actually feel nervous about this song. Shall see if the blink I loved growing up is actually dead forever and something different has replaced it.

I don't think not being in your 20's should mean you have to sing gloomy dark songs either.

hmm... I mean this is most definitely just a mistake, but this website has the album titled Bored to Death being released May 3rd.

  17. Could you IMAGINE if the entire album came out in two fucking weeks?! haha.

It must be a mistake. The 3rd is on a Tuesday.

All this +44 talk made me go back to that album this morning. Definitely enjoying it a lot more than when it initially came out. I think I still prefer WDNTW over this, but there are still some really great songs - Baby Come On, Lillian, Cliff Diving and Chapter 13 being my favorites.

And I totally agree with the person who said the intro to WYHSB is laughable. I cant stand that song, mainly because of that intro.

  20. Yeah, the lead guitar riffs and Mark's super low singing on the +44 album are what I dislike the most about it.

Shot off a couple of messages to the two people I've spoken to that have heard the songs asking about BTD.

+44 debut was solid. Lycanthrope, Baby Come On, WYHSB, 155, Cliff Diving, Chapter 13 (especially this song) are great. I remember hearing a few clips when +44 started recording their follow-up and it sounded like they were gonna be a little more energetic. Always wondered what happened to those ideas. Still, I find myself listening to BCR and AVA more often.

  23. I think this would have had potential to be a good Blink album:

    1. Do It For Me Now
    2. Baby Come On
    3. Everything's Magic
    4. Cliff Diving
    5. The War
    6. Lycanthrope
    7. Anxiety
    8. Lillian
    9. Rite Of Spring
    10. Chapter 13
    11. The Adventure

and maybe put When Your Heart Stops Beating in there somewhere

I don't understand the distaste for WYHSB (the song). That's a great track.
