Relationship of Command?

 

Literally the last thing I want from a Paramore set in 2017.

 

I'd be totally down with them doing a Riot! 10 year set. Their best album in my opinion.

However, I don't think the band itself has any interest in doing that.

 

Pretty sure I read they were going to announce the last two albums along with the single day line-ups. But I'm also pretty sure that I read it on Reddit so... Take it with a shaker of salt.

 

Again I would love a Riot set just because I think it'd definitely be a once in a lifetime thing and they did record the final riot in Chicago, but I do agree with everyone that I'd be really bummed to only see riot songs when I like after laughter and even brand new eyes songs a lot more.

 

I love Riot don't get me wrong, and if it was announced, my attitude would switch, but I'm so in to After Laughter right now I'd just be bummed to miss out on those songs. They can literally play anything though and I would be happy.

 

zero percent chance they'd do a riot in full show. not even a sliver of a possibility

 

If the last two albums are Rise or Die Trying and Somewhere In The Between I'll be bummed since we basically know those are happening already. But with how underwhelming the second wave was I bet that's what it is

And if it's NFG doing Sticks & Stones I will be really pissed haha I really want a normal NFG set

 

Does anybody else find it funny/interesting that people are complaining about the amount of repeat on the bill? Not so much that people are complaining, but... Because it's something that every major festival does. And Riot Fest, to me anyway, is pretty good at not repeating acts to the point where it's a bummer (obvious three exceptions aside). Especially headliners.

But even then, I'm left asking myself "But who would I want on the bill that hasn't played in the last 2-3 years, anyway?" There's bands. But I'd really have to think about it, and look at past line-ups and such. And most of them would wind up on the middle of the poster, anyway (90s skate-punk type bands)...

 

I want a lot of the bands that have played the last 3 years to play again haha

 

Announcement tomorrow. Assuming it's the albums?

 

I'm guessing it's food vendors given the "Make sure to bring your appetite..." comment.

Riot Feast seems pretty cool. I wish I lived in Chicago haha

Do we know any bands that are for sure playing certain days of the festival, aside from the three headliners?

 

Streetlight is Saturday, Paramore Friday I'm not sure if we know others.

 

Paramore is not Friday because they play in Michigan that night, so we know here Saturday or Sunday.

Andrew WK is playing Sunday

 

And Bayside is Saturday

 

Hate to poke at this again, but Paramore's been posting a LOT of Riot throwback kind of stuff lately...

 

I still just struggle with why they would waste what is arguably their biggest platform (at least in the U.S.) of their scheduled tour dates on an anniversary instead of promoting their new album, but it would make sense with the timing of RF's album announcements (maybe they were waiting until this week to correspond directly with Riot's 10 year. I'm 50/50 on it now.

 

because it's the ten year for them so they're just excited about it

Also think Bayside is gonna do an aftershow on 9/15
