People need to settle down on the Cope hate. Yeah it's my least favorite but it's still great

 

And I think 'Hope' is fantastic. Maybe even better than this one.

 

If the rest of the album is as good as The Gold then The Menzingers will finally have some competition at the top of my AOTY list

 

"Hope" is part of my go to albums for fall and night driving, it goes nicely with "Ixora"and "Eat Sleep Repeat" for those times. Also it made me appreciate "Cope" more than I did

I would be a little disappointed if that was the case. Hope is great but it works well for me as a companion album

 

I like it more than 'Cope' and consider it separate personally.

wish these guys still did their METN era Neutral Milk Hotel worship indie rock. I feel the same way about this new song as I do the past couple records- if I'm wanting to hear some indie-goes-stadium rock I'd rather just listen to Band of Horses or Silversun Pickups.

I would argue the focal point of their song writing over the last 5 years has been strongly based around these massive rock choruses, so, yes.

Cope and Hope were both highly enjoyable to me.

I remember around the time that Hope was released, people were mashing the two together to make one cohesive track listing. Anyone got a really sound one they want to share?
