Shout out to the new Arcade Fire single cover for it's very original use of neon lights spelling out a song name in the desert.

I really wanna know what's happening... I know The 1975 didn't invent neon signs or anything, but it can't just be a conincidence that the theme is seemingly getting ripped off by others. First an advertising campaign in Britain, then FOB, then Arcade Fire... are these designers thinking they're being original, or do they think nobody is going to notice the resemblance?

it's just the hip style. i don't mind it because it's a cool style.

also odds are it's the same artist.

I think it might be worse if it's the same artist tbh. This one's really similar to some of the pieces of the ILIWYS artwork.

I mean, yeah? The 1975 album is next up, and what with the rollout/tour/closing of that moniker, the time'll likely pass quick

Also yes the Somebody Else Speedup/CHVRCHES thing in incredible and I'd do horrible things to hear CHVRCHES actually cover it.

Yeah, in like a year though, right? I don't know if they're planning on touring the DLID stuff or what. If not, they could release it whenever.

Just seems to me like all these projects and the subsequent promotion require full mental allocation, especially from somebody as hyper-...well, everything as Matty is, haha. I guess I'd personally be surprised if they were able to also put together a DLID record in that time when their minds are seemingly so elsewhere. but hey, that's a surprise I'm willing and ready for.

I'll write you into all of my songs Supporter

Honestly, that seems like a great idea. Give them some time to "retire" the 1975, flex out their songwriting in other avenues together and take a break for a bit, then have an after hiatus comeback. For how good these guys are at marketing it makes perfect sense

Perhaps I'm getting ahead of myself, but I feel like Music For Cars and whatever this turns out to be, are going to complement each other perfectly.
